  1. Tom, Scarcer than hen's teeth. I don't know if you checked, but I would call Colt first. I looked at different web sites, but no one seems to have that screw. I guess it would have to be machined. A couple of folks have sent work to Bill Fuchs at Spring Creek Armory and have been very satisfied with his work. His phone number is 307 431 9194. I'll keep looking, but if you find one let me know as I have a black powder frame Colt and I could use an extra. Tex
  2. If you're testing various loads for 572, as above, start at the minimum and then load 20 or so at one tenth increments up to the max at 5.6 grs. Going below the minimum as you mentioned will result in erratic performance and increasing the load to the minimum or one or two tenths higher will be unnoticeable. Twenty pounds of 572 at 5.2 grs, for example, will result in over 26,900 rounds. Five grains will result in 28,000 rounds. Probably way more than most CAS shooters will ever need.
  3. Happy New Year to you and the rest of the posse up in NY. Tex
  4. You don't need to use the wifi. Refrigerator and dryer are wifi enabled, but I never set it up.
  5. Spent a few times with him over the years. One time he and Becky were appearing at an outdoor store's summer exhibition in Pennsylvania. He had a tent under which a couple of tables were filled with pistols he had worked on. I went with a couple of buddies, one of whom picked up one of the SAAs, cocked and pulled the trigger. Bob's head snapped up immediately and I started slowly backing away from the table in the event that he got upset. He didn't, but old Bill never did that again. I still have the guns he worked on, and use them every year.
  6. I read somewhere that the parts of the movie with Raymond Burr were filmed independently from the rest of the film, and spliced in to the original.
  7. Only slightly less rough than the regular German toilet paper.
  8. Shorty, Sorry to read your note. Condolences on the loss of your pard. It's been a while. All the best. Tex
  9. The family next door to me moved here from New Jersey when the husband and wife graduated college, so at least 20 years ago. The east coast accent is gone but speech patterns are still east coast ie; harder sounding consonants and vowels. I learned French here in the U.S. and when in France, no one there can hear a regional accent, which in many countries can identify the speaker's birthplace. Other folks I know have never lost their accent, although in many cases the accent has softened.
  10. Less to decorate. Easy to dispose of. Merry Christmas!
  11. It's a Halco toy pistol. Look up nicholscapguns.com and put in Halco in the search bar at the top left. It's a pinto cap pistol, according to the nichols site.
  12. I have used Remington primers over the years. They worked in all my CAS guns.
  13. Call Greg Slaughter at Cimarron Firearms. He's pretty knowledgeable. I put a pair of 1860 Uberti Army grips on two USFA revolvers about 5 years ago, having bought them from VTI Gunparts. The revolvers were twenty years old and they fit. I sold them earlier this year to a pard who fit them onto Uberti Open Tops. They fit as well after a little filing. BTW, they also fit on my Colts.
  14. I have figured it out. You build beautiful carts (among other things), take them to the mall and women come from all over to see them. Sly fox. Might be your best work yet.
  15. And they're upgrading the state house to a tune of $750 million. We don't want the legislators to be uncomfortable.
  16. Spoke with Starline today as the charge that was placed on my credit card last week was removed for 44-40 brass I ordered. Apparently being charged does not mean the order is accepted, it being subject to the supply on hand. Luckily that order was a "just in case".
  17. Ordered a bit more. Can't have enough. Thanks for the heads up, Shootist.
