  1. Looks like the Steelers got blown out too. Now we have the distasteful matchup of the Foulcans and the Belicheat/Brady Bunch!! (NO YUCK ICON)
  2. More like a "Can they both lose?" Stinker Bowl!! I can't bring myself to support either team, but a Foulcans win would prevent Belicheat and the Brady Bunch from winning another one! That would be a little less distasteful.
  3. Might be Jack Elam's character in "Rio Lobo"!! Or Arthur Honeycutt's "Bull" in El Dorado!!
  4. Great news!! Teach him the ways of the Dark Side from the cradleside!!!
  5. Hang in there Charlie!! Were all pulling for you!! Prayers up!!
  6. My band does a LOT of BLUES!! We do some classic rock and some oldies, but we always come back to the blues I'm currently working on "Come And Go Blues" by the Allman Brothers!! Been trying' ta' get ol' Studdly to come hear us play, but it's like two ships passin'............
  7. The movie was a pleasant diversion when I saw it a few weeks ago. It wasn't Stagecoach by any means, but it was passable entertainment.
  8. If I'm not mistaken, he also sang with The Sons of The Pioneers. He is STILL an Western Icon in Europe!!
  9. That reminds me!! My son pitched in little league and on up into high school! We took him to a two day camp at Cumberland University in Lebanon, TN. The man running the show was Gaylord Perry!! Hatfield was in middle school at the time and was the youngest player out there. Mr. Perry took special interest in him, either because he WAS the youngest, or because he threw a great knuckle ball!! Great guy!!
  10. Got me to chucklin'! I bet the ranch owner, (Jerry Jones) is suffering a severe case of apoplexy 'bout now!!!
  11. I've met Noz!! I've worked in the music industry for a long time and have met many in the Country, Rock, and Blues category. I also did a few TV specials, working as a lighting and sound technician, so there were interactions with that part of the entertainment industry. I also worked for a big tour bus company for several years, building custom busses for the whole spectrum of entertainment and political professionals. I also raced for many years and worked for a little while for Winston when they sponsored NASCAR, so I've met many drivers in both stock car and drag racing! Many of 'em are just folks! Some of 'em think way too much of themselves. Trishia Yearwood and Tennessee Ernie Ford are and were the two most down to earth people I've ever met!! Bob Dylan may be the most bashful and introverted. Danny Thomas was a wonderful human being, but in person............ On top of it all, I live just outside of Nashville and I entertain in the bars and clubs here. Celebrities like to be entertained too!
  12. Thanks Charlie!! Corrected it!!
  13. No hat style is "period correct" if you ain't city folks!!
  14. Aaron Rodgers looks like a stone assassin!! Liquid carbon dioxide in his veins!! Mason Crosby's the same!!
  15. Mason Crosby!! Three seconds left and already treated to the "freeze the kicker" timeout! 52 yd. field goal as time expires!! Jerry Jones!!!! SIT DOWN!! I used to love the plowboys 'til Jones bought 'em and fouled the air around the team!!!
  16. I only ever had one single stack 1911. It was a Model 70 Colt with a set of Millet sights that would have worked for Stevie Wonder!! It worked well but only held 8 with one in the pipe! This was a long time before WB. I traded that one for a 13/45 PO and 2 spare magazines. It is STILL my carry weapon! It holds 14 with one in the chamber, will eat ANYTHING I feed it, works wet, dry, clean, or nasty, first time, every time!! These older Paras have a one piece feed ramp and barrel and one of the best "from the factory" triggers I've run across!! I don't shoot WB. I can see myself now, firing five rounds in a serious situation and then dropping a mag with 9 rounds in it 'cause of muscle memory!! I don't know the value of the pistol in question, but I wouldn't take the seller's asking price for mine!!!
  17. YEP!! Texas too!!
  18. Yessir!! Isom shoots 3 1/2" brass shells with his name on 'em, out of a big ol' double!! I shoot anything I can stuff into my Winchester 1901 or the old Remington 1893 hammer double!! There ain't enough fire, smoke, and boom to satisfy either of us!!! Hey!! Isom!! You need to come up to Manchester, KY this summer for the Black Gold Shootout!! Us big boomers is welcomed there!!!
  19. Good jazz is just that!! This wasn't even good jazz!!! DISGRACEFULL!!
  20. Hardpan!! You worked faithfully and they decide to pull the rug out from under you! Work out the three weeks, grab your dismissal papers and go directly to the unemployment office!! File for benefits and use them as you see fit. They could have paid you more if they weren't required to pay unemployment insurance on your behalf. YOU ARE ENTITLED TO THAT BENEFIT!! You paid for it, despite what ANYONE tells you to the contrary, and if you played by the rules you should be paid recompense!! Nod and smile as you leave and giggle all of the way to the Unemployment Office!!!
  21. I'm flabbergasted!! It was actually on the CBS morning show!!
  22. Willy McCoy is the one who is responsible for my Henry. That was 2005!! He's gotten better since then. I kept the '92 he did for me for ten years and sold it for $600.00 to a gun store near home. THAT'S how good his work is!!
  23. Always HATED peanuts in my Coke!! The salt took out all of the fizz!! RC, Moon Pie, and a baloney samwidge with cheese, mayo, 'mater, and a slice of yellow onion!! That's STILL a great lunch!!!
  24. NAH!! It was my bad luck and lack of experience!! Experience is what you get when you do something umpteen times and then the next time you do it, it doesn't work!!
