I spent four hours in “registration” at the hospital last Thursday, getting checked in and finding a room. That’s my GRUMP for the day!
It took less than half that time to have the procedure done and be back in the room before lunch the next morning!
All good news at this point! I’m home and in no pain! I don’t need IV antibiotics to finish off the infection! And from now on, I’ll get a 10% discount on pedicures!!
We decided to remove the section of my foot that has been so much trouble these past six plus years when a new infection attacked! Those bones behind the “pinkie toe” had been damaged before and it was evident that they needed to go. Since the toe itself would just be hanging on by the skin, I figured that it would just be another place for trouble to develop.
ANYWAY! I’m home, it all looks good, and it’s likely to heal up much quicker and more completely now that it’s done!
