I realize the look yer lookin’ for … but I gotta agree with Choctaw Jack..

That’s a lot of extra weight to pack around.. my last gun rig I had made??

I had him build it without any bullet loops..

I have 8 loops on my shotgun belt..

4 on each side.. and I only use 3 on one side..

When my wife confiscated my Stoeger back ln 2004..

I had to shorten the stock about 2 1/2”…

 I saved that piece fer about 20 years.. 

An old shootin’ pal of mine got into a bad shoulder problem 

and had to quit runnin’ his ‘97.. He ask to borrow my wife’s Stoeger..

She had quit shooting soo.. I reinstalled the piece I had saved and bingo

back to original length (except for saw blade thickness)

Reckon what I’m sayin’?? Shorten the one ya have and save that piece

I have used the Sure Hit sight covers on 4 Ruger pistols.. 

Love them.. easy to install.. makes the front sight pop..

They are also great to have around when maybe. … 
Ya file the front sight down  too far..

Slide on a new one and there ya go.. start again..

I have had good results with Brownells Oxpho-Blue cream as well.  Good Prep is the key to good blueing.

I used a Mec fer shotgun.. Dillon fer pistol/rifle..

I started in 2003 with the Dillon 550 press.. still using it.. Loading 38 specials..

it will do most any caliber reloading ya need..

Well.. My wife and I have been shooting 2 Stoegers 12 gauge since 2003..

I disabled the auto safety and polished the chambers myself on each..

They are the uplander double triggered with removable choke models..

l installed improved cylinder chokes..

and I replaced the firing pins maybe 9-10 years back..

They are in the lower priced end of the SxS’s..

If I had no money worries.. I’d probably go with SKB’s.. mechanical triggers..

Just sayin’.. I’m a happy camper..

Yer in Lake County.. I winter down there.. There’s a huge club. I think in Tavares.. they shoot on Saturdays..

There are some great “fast”  shooters there and know what their doing.. you can handle their rifles and get recommendations from them..

After a lot of checking for myself?? I got a Uberti Delux.. had curve in the stock

which fitted MY cheek better for sighting.. also Laser etching

on the forearm and the curve stock for better gripping..

18” Octagon barrel.. Super short stroked.. (but wish now I had got 3rd. Generation)

There are a lot of things YOU need to consider.. 

I bought it from Griners Gunworks.. He put together the rifle, cut the barrel to the length I requested and gave me advice and asked me questions.. He mailed it to my designated FFL..

I’m a happy camper ..

If you adjust the tension spring out to far

for less tension.. easier levering..

You may start getting some “failure to fires” jacked out rounds..

Turn it back in about a 1/4 turn at a time until it’s gone..

I got caught up in that in my younger years as I got faster..

Purty sure I already know the answer.. just verifying..

My 1866 when I bring it up to fire it.. I have to hold it below my cheek bone to 

align the sights.. 

Can I put some leather on the comb of the rifle stock to rest my cheek an be legal?
