Also any interest in a trade for a "Virgin"  SKB 100 with inertia single trigger and 28 inch barrel?  Real nice wood.

Slick, after your pm I started to think what I'd sell it for.  Seems the 12 ga are selling up to $1300 on GB what are you offering. I'm looking for a Carty/Spur Marlin in 357 Octagon 20 inch.........

  5. Mohawk, I just sent this to Jackaroo.  Maybe he can help make the deal happen.  Jackrabbit Joe hasn't been able to contact you.

Hey Jackaroo. I've been trying to help Painted Mohawk get a part. Jackrabbit Joe has one and I'm thinking based on your emails with Mohawk you two will hook up in July.  He hasn't had any luck contacting Mohawk.

Can you contact Jackrabbit Joe and coordinate. I believe the part will be at Joe's  home jJune 11.

  6. Cody, just a quick FYI (no disrespect) a 12 stage main match with a 4 stage mini match and speed rifle side match will exceed 200 rounds easy if you play a lot with the side matches........Just  saying.......RT

    1. CodyMaverick

      CodyMaverick

I thought you might mention that.  Since I usually clean all my guns thoroughly before a big match I like to shoot my main match guns for just one stage of the mini match or a couple of rounds of the speed side matches and then use my back up guns for the rest of it.

    2. Rootin Tootin

      Rootin Tootin

Good idea about side matches and mini matches, regarding backup rifle.  If there is no fix then I'll just tear down and clean as required.  Thanks for the idea...........RT

Having given it some additional thought.  If your new rifle has a slightly larger chamber than your old one. You could experiment a bit with your load recipe using the new rifle and try to get a little more pressure to expand the case more.  Perhaps a little more powder or a different powder and/or the next heavier bullet in your caliber.

I noticed one suggestion was to measure and compare the fired cases from each rifle.  Good idea, but if my guess is correct you'll find the diameters to be the same.

I found out the hard way that my '92 has a much larger chamber than my '73 when I tried a suggestion of just neck sizing my brass.  The neck sized brass from my '92 was very hard to chamber in the '73, they would go in but took a lot more force.  Now I use a Redding Dual Sizing die and it works great.  Since I insist on shooting .45s, blowback and regular gun cleaning are just a way of life.  Good luck

I have almost $2400.00 in it.

Can send copy of his invoice.

Minimum use.  Wife never really liked it; too heavy.

Gonna ask $2,100 with shipping and insurance to an FFL dealer.

  13. Southwest, this may be more than you want.....I have a Virgin SKB 100, with excellent bores, great wood and bluing, inertia single trigger, 28 inch barrel.. Never a cowboy gun with light use. I've been selling off my extra shotguns. First was a slicked up Stoger, then recently a slicked up CZ.  I don't need this Virgin to hunt and it's too perty to cut  and slick up. I already have 2 SKB's slicked up.  One by Johnny Meadows and one by Jimmy Spurs so I've decided to sell it...........

I'll let this one go for $1135........... Can send pics if interested...........  prlucky299@aol.com

    1. SouthwestShooter

      SouthwestShooter

      Thanks for the offer.

However the 1st thing I'd have to do would bring it to Johnny and spend about $300.00 to shorten the barrels, change to a mechanical trigger, and hone the tubes, and make it a "stay-open".

      So now it's a $1,500.00 gun.

      Thanks for the offer.

What's the possibility of 1 of the 2 already slicked up SKB's?

He made a pistol shop on a side match, with a fixed site pistol, that was like the shot in the Magnificent 7 where the guy was riding over the ridge  and Colburn shot him.  GREAT SHOT!!!!  Guess you guys down under don't need rifles....

Good to hear from you.  I'll definitely give that some thought.  Been struggling with my new knee.  I think the difference in the walk with the knee has given me a lot of lower back pain.  It's finally starting to get better.  I have good range of motion so I just need to get over the sore back.  Looking forward to seeing you in the spring.  Winter well.  God bless.

    2. Rootin Tootin

      Rootin Tootin

Yup. My knee replacement caused some walking issue's. Had Planters Facitius show up on my god foot for awhile..  Better now.........Had some good results this year. My rehab took about 3 months with full range of motion after about 8 months, but not enough to affect the game.....Going to Winter RANGE THIS YEAR!!!

Winter well my friend. Have wonder holidays......

  23. Heard you deal in IAC Coyote Cap 97's. Do you have any for sale??

    1. Rootin Tootin

      Rootin Tootin

I'm not interested in your Winchesters unless they have a coyote cap on the bolt. What I'm looking for is an IAC 97 with a number 08 or higher or a CB 97.  Not interested in a 93/97. I already have one. Great gun, only shot it once and was told it isn't legal in a cowboy match so it's been in my safe for 8 years.  Only good for WB

  24. John, I didn't expect you to leave the 97 on GB after I sent you a message about buying it when it was listed in the Merchants section. Please let me know when you get another IAC 97.  I would like a CB if possible and if not then one with a number of 08 or higher

Sorry about that, I did not get the message until after it was bid or I would have pulled it down. We were at dinner for my sons 5th birthday. I don’t get notifications of messages from the merchant corner. I have a 97 coming in later this week. It’s supposed to ship out tomorrow
