This question came to my mind after reading the recent 'WTC' thread by Yul Lose. Using the same situation as Yul stated, NOBODY knew he had unfired rounds in his pistols (one in each revolver). Even the UNLOADING TABLE officer apparently didn't catch it and Yul was given no penalties for the stage.....as he stated in his thread. BUT, Yul (apparently AFTER being cleared from the ULT) notified posse officials of the loaded rounds and gave hisowndangself a couple of misses. Here is my question: if AFTER he has been cleared from the ULT, would the 'Penalty in Arrears' benefit be in effect? EDIT: and NO, those who know me best know that I am not one to look for ways to cheat the system. I just want to understand the Penalty in Arrears application better. THanks ..........Widder

If you can shoot fast enough, and if your first shot is a slow bullet and your 2nd bullet is a fast bullet, its possible the 2nd bullet ran into the 1st bullet shortly after they left the barrel. Probably impossible..... but it makes a good story! ..........Widder

Lost my little girl today

Many of us here on the Wire can sympathize with you and share in your grievance. Our little 'Benji' had to be put to sleep a few years back and his memory still occupies fun conversation between me and the wife. Indeed...... those pets become part of the family and basically, we are blessed that THEY have allowed us to be a part of their lives. ..........Widder -
I've had a few folks wanting to picture with me and a few asking me to autograph their Marlin. Basically, I didn't want to put my name on their gun. But, I have met a few real pretty girls in SASS that I wanted to have my picture taken with them. That made my day! ..........Widder

"Doesn't gets divorce" is different than... "NEVER gets divorce". If the age of 25 was the requirement to inherit the money, then I would suspect that the age of 25 is also the age requirement of 'doesn't get divorce'. (by the age of 25). Sorri cats...... no shelter! ..........Widder

Oh man...... this news took my breath away. Jefro and I conversed a few times and I always enjoyed talking with him. Great guy and a BIG credit to SASS. Condolences to his family and close love ones. God Bless, my friend. ..........Widder

Heck, I've already started planning my 2025 Christmas present to meowndangself. It will probably be a 2025 Yamaha Grizzly 700..... this spring! ..........Widder -

I've often wondered..... when one of them BIG steam engine trains crashes and jump the rails, do the engineers get squished like a pancake or do they get 'steamed' cooked from all that steam exploding in front of them? Maybe ALPO will see this post and let us know! ..........Widder

Regards of all his virtues, I still don't like the manner in which he 'tosses' some pistols on the table. ..........Widder

I've always disliked the manner in which Hickok 'tosses' some pistol back on the table. ..........Widder

You can trust a Yankee with your Children and pets. You can trust a Yankee to be a pretty good shooter. And you can trust a Yankee not to feed your pet alligator. BUT....... ya can't trust a Yankee to 'watch your beer' and you surely can't trust a Yankee to keep that dang white stuff in their own back yard. ..........Widder (sometimes, we get that Yankee curse down here in TN)

If you own a Springfield TRP pistol, will you start calling it the 'Trump' pistol? I have the 6" longside in 10mm, which I understand is kinda rare (but I don't know for sure) The slide actually reads: Operator 10mm TRP. ..........Widder

The Eagles at the Sphere - Las Vegas
Widder, SASS #59054 replied to Finagler 6853 Life's topic in SASS Wire Saloon
I've seen the Eagle's twice. Both were fantastic concerts. Other favorites that sounded as good or better than the albums: Jimmy Buffet, Elvis and Ronnie Milsap in his younger years. But the best show... Music, singing performance and production was Rod Stewart. ..........Widder -
Navy bootcamp: Orlando 1969

We also had those M1's. PLUS, my Orlando visit was Mid June thru end of August. It was hot but I was heat acclimated and didn't suffer much. Hey Chief Rick..... we called it 'H3ll Week' and I served in the kitchen making do-nuts and pies about 14-15 hours a day for a whole week. After H3ll Week, we got to wear our white hats and we're no longer 'squirrels'. ..........Widder -

We sure did. They fired off a few salvo's every Friday around noontime, when the graduation ceremonies were happening. And they made sure they were loud. ..........Widder -
My Kimbers had a slightly tighter chamber but when I used .451 diameter SWC, they functioned flawless. .452's gave me some feeding issues in those Kimbers. As mentioned above, your OAL can be important. ..........Widder

Navy bootcamp: Orlando 1969
Widder, SASS #59054 replied to Widder, SASS #59054's topic in SASS Wire Saloon
Was the 'Parade Ground' still blistering hot during the summer months? I remember my first 'Friday' during camp when they fired off those big cannons during graduation ceremonies. I was slightly startled because I was sitting in a classroom. I started looking forward to hearing those cannons on Friday and looking forward to MY CANNONS firing. I will add that some of the finest people I've ever met in my life were some folks in the Navy: Master Chief Stockstill (ComSubRon18) Chief Barrios (ComSubRon18) LT. Semens (NavComSta, Morocco) ..........Widder -
Yea, I agree. Some of the 'lefts' biggest mouths got on TV to disparage their performing for Trump. But I didn't hear anyone from the 'right' saying anything negative. As a super right winger, I was glad to see them perform and enjoyed the song once again. ..........Widder

I found a picture of my bootcamp days with names of 3 'campers'. I've often wondered if any of my fellow Cowboy shooters were there........ Campany 151. The names on the picture: Bolena, Pomaroy and Musso. I also remember a good friend name similar to 'Tess'. Any of you out there? I think 'Tess' was from Alabama. ..........Widder
