  1. OK, I took another look. At first glance I thought that was a foam cooler and couldn't figure out what would make those marks on a foam cooler. Now I see that it is a full size freezer and of course those are hockey puck marks. Hey, I'm old. I can remember my Dad coming home from WWll.
  2. I'm a Canadian, and I don't know what made those marks. Do I have to turn in my citizenship?
  3. Normal people don't. It's the WOKE side of the house that vote for him, along with all the women out there that still consider him to be in the rock star category.
  4. That's a good one.
  5. Do you mean, do we still have guns in Canada?  If that's what your asking, of course we do.  I can order a long gun or a handgun on the internet.  It's in my hands within 2 days by courier or 4 or 5 days by mail.  Handguns must be registered and can be done over the phone with the Provincial Firearms Officer's office.  Legal long guns have no restrictions and I can have one or more in my truck any time as long as it is unloaded.

To sell a long gun by mail, all that is required of the seller is that you have to verify that the buyer has a firearms license and, that is done by calling the Firearms Office to verify that the buyer has a valid one.

If you are buying or selling a long gun face to face the buyer just has to show the seller his/her Firearms License and the deal is done.  The only difference between Canada and the U.S. is that we cannot carry handguns, except to and from a range, gunsmith, gun show or a border crossing but, then, we don't have the crime rate that you do in the U.S.  I'm not afraid to walk anywhere in Canada unarmed.

I can walk into Cabelas and walk out with more than one long gun or  registered handguns within 15/20 minutes (can't do that in California).

Is that what you were asking?

  6. Just Google Firearms Act & Regulations - Royal Canadian Mounted Police. It will give you everything that you wanted to know.
  7. Saw an old Wild Bill Elliot movie a few years back They dug a bullet out of a guy and Elliot looked at it and said it came from a Marlin rifle.
  8. When God said. "Let there be light" I was duty electrician.
  9. Captain Nathan Brittles
  10. We went through all that with females wearing female uniforms then all of a sudden they are wearing male uniforms. The RCMP included. If the reverse was true they would be called transvestites.
  11. Was within hand shaking distance with President Reagan (Ottawa Visit 1981), Lash Larue, Duncan Reinaldo (Cisco), Leo Carrillio (Pancho), Johnny Mack Brown. That's the only U.S. personalities that I was within touching distance.
  12. I thought Lou did a very credible job. They must of had a heat shortage. Did you notice when inside buildings you could see their breath. In the saloon scene, they must of had portable heaters for the girls wearing sleeveless gowns while sitting at the table but, when Lou goes up to the bar you can see his and the bartenders breath. It was filmed near Vancouver, BC
  13. And the top of Chimney Rock on the Oregon Trail. What we see today is a shortened version than what the pioneers saw on their trek to CA and OR
  14. I realize that Bob, just suggesting that he may not be an American by virtue of the spelling. Can't be a Canadian though, as we also spell Airborne as one word. Probably someone with an unpronounceable name.
  15. Capt. is the Commonwealth military way of abbreviating the word Captain.
  16. I just watched part 1 for the 1st and last time. Kevin Costner is a past master at dragging out a story. So many scenes that are not essential to the overall story. The audio clarity was good for most of the main actors but, the lesser actors spoke their lines without moving their mouths, I had no idea what they were saying. It seemed that it was filmed with a filter on the camera, there wasn't the bright colors. I bought it in Walmart for $5. My wife said that I can watch part 2 without her. I won't watch part 2 either, this DVD will be given away. Costner has to learn to cut to the chase in his movies. I realize that this film was a mini series but, still..
  17. Heck....in retirement, every day is a stat holiday.
  18. I bought one of those memory foams also for our home bed from Costco and every morning my back says thank you. Costco also have those thick warm sheets that we use in the RV during spring and fall camping.. They keep you warm so you don't have to run the furnace as often during the night.
  19. I have that set. The series covers about a 20 year period and did you notice that his costume never changes. And, in episodes that take place prior to 1873, he is packing a Colt '73 with bullets in the belt loops. Still fun to watch though.
  20. My paternal grandfather died of the Spanish flu in 1918 in the Stony Mountain Penitentiary in Manitoba and, he wasn't a correction officer, if you know what I mean.
  21. My Son gave me a bottle of Wayne Gretzky 99 sipping whiskey, boy is that smooth.
  22. There has already been two remakes of StageCoach.. One Had Willie Nelson, Johnny Cash and Kris Kristopherson, et al in it (1986). And the other had Bing Crosby, Ann Margaret, Slim Pickins, Van Heflin et al (1966).
