  1. I have a 97 Winchester #372xxx the book says made in 1908. This is a take down with a 20 inch barrel. The gun has been around, but internally is tight and appears to have not been fired a lot. The bore is nice and shiny. It has a new coil spring left extractor. The butt stock has been changed but is a nice stock with no cracks. The fore end has a crack but it has been repaired and is fiberglass stitched. The mainspring has been lightened and friction surfaces have been polished. The gun is smooth and fast. $400 shipped to you. Be ready for shooting this spring. E-mail me for pictures. Mule Town Jack schlap@yourstarnet.net
  2. barrel length is 20 inches. Knob Creek I don't know how to send pics by pm. send me your direct e-mail address and I'll get the pics out. MTJ
  3. I have a 94 newer Remington made Marlin. This gun is beautiful. Nice checkered wood, shotgun type pad on butt stock. This rifle has been slicked up for cowboy shooting and is fast and smooth. There has been some bad press about these rifles, but there is nothing wrong with this one. Pictures available upon request. I have this rifle priced to sell at $635 shipped to your ffl. 4. There is no danger in turning the cylinder. It's very easy to see as you turn. It sure makes it easy to see the empty cylinder. I've turned both blued and nickel plated cylinders without incident. Good luck finding a mate. MTJ
  5. I've had several of these revolvers and it is a simple thing to turn the recess off the cylinder. Anyone with a lathe can do the job in about 15 minutes. These guns are high quality German made guns. MTJ
  6. The Cowboy comps were factory slicked, especially for cowboy action shooting. I've had several and they were all very smooth. Marlin only cataloged them for a short time. Yes, the sight is tang mounted.
  7. This is the Cowboy Comp model and it comes with a period correct Lyman peep sight. 20 inch octagon barrel. Nice gun, ready to go. Pictures available on request, $975 shipped to your ffl.
