  1. This is a WW II/Korean war era M1 US military carbine stock. It’s an early type III style and comes with metal butt plate, recoil plate and forend retainer. The only markings on the stock are the double set of arsenal refurbishing stamps. The butt plate is marked Standard Products. Overall good condition with minor dings and dents, no cracks, original oil finish. $200 plus shipping.
  2. I looked at the Henry in 45-70 not to long ago when I was searching for that caliber rifle. I also looked at Winchester,Marlin, and Italian clones. In my opinion the Pedrsolli was by far the nicest of the bunch. But their price point was outside my target. I settled on a Marlin 1895 and am pleased with it. When I looked at the Henry I noticed that it had a lever that rode up between the hammer and firing pin as the trigger was pulled. Some kind of safety device that added to the firing mechanism. That turned me away from the Henry.
  3. My 73 done by Cody has had thousands of 38’s through it over many years without any issues and still runs smoothly. I would not hesitate to recommend his work.
  4. Free bump. I had the model 327 version of the shotgun. Great piece, well made by the same folks that made SKB’s, BSS, and Charles Dally.
  5. For sale are a pair of factory SIG holsters. First one is for any 1911 style full length models. The second is for p320/p250 45’s . Both for one price. $50 plus shipping.
  6. Would adjusting the offending racket do anything?
  7. SAAMI specs for 38-55 are shown on their web site. https://saami.org/wp-content/uploads/2023/11/ANSI-SAAMI-Z299.4-CFR-Approved-2015-12-14-Posting-Copy.pdf Page 137.
  8. I shoot a Marlin model 336cb in 38-55. Brass was not too hard to find, I found some Winchester and was fortunate to acquire some new Starline brass as well. I reload my own as factory ammo is difficult to find and very expensive. It’s a great long range caliber to play with. Good for hunting as well. There is a good discussion on the Starline site you might want to check out regarding question #1.
  9. Welcome to the game. I shoot at both Thurmont and Damascus. Both are fine clubs what will welcome you. Weather permitting we will be shooting at Thurmont the first Sunday of the month starting in March. Damascus will follow the next weekend on Saturday. Just over the line in PA. the Jefferson Outlaws put on a match on the third Saturday of the month. I’m the TG there. The Jefferson range has a small cowboy town that’s named Leadvile were the match is held. Saddle up and come join us for some good times. Looking forward to meeting you.
  10. I had the opportunity to look at one at the GAOS in Harrisburg PA. Talked to the designer at the show. It looked like it was patterned after a Marlin design with an extraction opening in the receiver that was similar a Henry and with the tubular loading gate as well. Larger loop lever, scope rail and threaded barrel. Fairly smooth operation but more intended for the general lever action market than cowboy.
  11. I have 88 pieces of 44 mag brass available. Half is PMC and the other half is Top Brass. I don’t think they have been reloaded much. $25 shipped in a small priority mail box.
  12. This is an assortment of bullet lubes that I acquired in a package of reloading equipment. I have no use for them. If anyone can use them, they are yours for the $20 it will cost to ship in a priority mail box. The dark block is very dark green in color and very waxy. Can’t tell you much about the rest of the stuff.
  13. Here is link to a comprehensive test on cleaners and lubricants. It’s long but interesting. https://dayattherange.com/?page_id=3667
  14. I’d be interested in the 45-70. Sending a pm.
  15. I have 3 cleaning brushes that I no longer need. They’re used in good condition and recently cleaned. $15 plus shipping takes all 3. SOLD
  16. I recently got a Marlin 336 in 38-55. It’s a great cartridge for long range as well as straight wall cartridge hunting. I’ve slugged the barrel on my Marlin, it measured out at .380. I’ve shoot gas checked lead bullets from .380 to .377 all with great accuracy out of the rifle. I’m getting 1-1/2” to 2” groups at 100 yards with iron sights from a sand bag rest. The point is how well a rifle performs is dependent on knowing the specs of rifle and experimenting with varying loads and bullets. Best of luck, it’s a rewarding journey.
  17. I’d like to buy the butt stock for Rossi 92
