  1.

You have a dog for your avatar on Facebook? what about all the cats? I see them on your page but a dog avatar???

    "Say it ain't so, Joe"

    Hi CR,

I  my baby doggie too. He is my first-ever dog. I got him when I was 59 and he was 2 1/2. I had my Obie cat , who lived with us 16 years, as my Avatar on FB for quite a while. He is gone now and my "baby doggie" is ailing and will not get better. So, he is my avatar for now, as I wanted to show my  for him. :(

Sorry I can't find a fun come back to your jesting comment as it is really rough for me and my doggie right now.

Just know that I thank you for joking with me about my avatar. It was funny. :D

    Regards,

  2. Misguided is a good definition!! Larson bashing? How about Rye bashing??? I thought maybe I was your friend too! :)

Yes, Dear Rye, you are my friend! I never hold back from "real friends." ;)

    Right, Larson!

  3. it!

Also, Frederick Jackson Turner has written a song, I love, about SASS for his group Big Red Sky. It is really funny as it has parts about the excuses for misses and Ps. Unfortunately, I don't remember the name and didn't find it using Google..

Can someone help me with a link?

    Regards,

    Allie

  4. Hey!

Enough Larson bashing already. We all adore Jim. I happen to be Larson's friend too and know him pretty well. He doesn't have a "malicious bone in his body." I'm certain he was trying to be helpful; however misguided. :o;) He knows when I'm kidding with him, especially when I mention Killer. Your comments could seem less jovial.

    Regards,

    Allie (AKA Killer's Nemesis) Mo

  5. Allie...thanks for the note...Misty answered so many questions thrown at her a few months back about changes in the structure of SASS and was so open and forth coming to the naysayers that she won my vote and support for her leadership. We are lucky to have her. That would be the case if I had never met her.

Also while I am handing out 'atta a girls' we are just as lucky to have you and a big thanks for all you do to keep this herd in line. God bless you both....Thanks Jim ..... Just the view from my saddle......

    I agree with Jim

 Thank you both so much.

PS Larson, tell Killer to bite you. :o;)

  6. Here's the scoop folks. The outage from google starting about 4-ish days ago seems to be the result of what may be a new attack vector. A URL in the sass mercantile was reported as being in violation of the DMCA, and affected the whole site when accessed via http://www... which brings the next point. There are many issues with the current site and forums, including different pages when accessed via http VS https. We are tackling these issues as efficiently as possibly, but the permanent solution is to launch a new site and new forums that will address the issues with both. This site is nearing completion. There are only a few pieces left to be addressed before it is ready. We will let everyone know a few days before the new site is ready to launch. There may be an outage or two between now and then, but rest assured that we are well aware of the issues with the existing site and forums, and are working rapidly to permanently resolve all of them.

    Hi James,

Thank you so much for the speedy reply, on a Sunday at that!

    Regards,

    Allie

PS People, just because you don't have a problem with your browser and settings, doesn't mean one doesn't exist. The Website needs to work across a variety of platforms and with a variety of settings for us to be available to a greater audience that may not have the Website bookmarked. I have the main forum page and Allie's Content bookmarked, so I did not know of the problem until Pat brought it up.

PPS It was really helpful for Pat to bring this up so we could find out that it was more widespread than one person's settings. Thanks Pat!

  7. Ya know Mike, the Moderators could have done that for you. It is really easy for us to do.

For future reference, Folks, just report the first post in the thread and ask the Mods to move it where it belongs.

    Regards,

    Allie

  8. Ms. Mo, I did just that (Google "single action shooting society) and clicked on the first 7 links listed and I had no problem. I also went to all of Pat Riot's links in his original post and had no problem. Everything appeared to work fine. I always got into the SASS website. I don't know......maybe I don't understand the problem.

    Hi Jim,

The problem, as I've encountered it, is inconsistency and inability to access the SASS forums with default Internet Explorer settings.

    Regards,

    Allie

  9. Hi Folks,

For future reference, just use the Report feature and the Moderators will check things out. Also, there is no need for one person to submit multiple reports. We will get an email that there is a report and there is a red indicator at the top of the page that we can see until the item is cleared by a Moderator. .

Will, I'm sorry for the confusion over your SASS status. I believe that it occurred because you did not list your number before making the first post and, in post 3, you said it had lapsed.

I hope you won't let this incident scare you off. You are welcome here whether you are a SASS member or not. However, you may not sell on the Classifieds once your membership expires.

    Regards,

    Allie

  10. Hi Griff,

That has merit. However, it seems that the problem is relatively common and only occurs on the SASS site. I have never had a blank page come up on any other link that Google or Bing found. Therefore, I am hoping the Tech can make a change that will enable the SASS forums to work like other sites.

    Regards,

    Allie
