  1.

Nothiing to see here   Just that quiet, unassuming guy that shows up and wins your local monthly shoots and then quietly sneaks off to add another national or world championship once or twice a year.

congratulations to one of my favorite people to posse with

I have a Forest River, Class C 23 foot Sun Seeker on a Ford Chassis.

I bought it in 2014 and I've had no trouble with it!

BUT, it's a 2013 they had used as a rental the year before and all the crap got fixed before I bought it or they couldn't rent it!!!!!!!!! BUHAHAHAHA

Seriously, there is a real problem of quality control, throughout the industry, if the comments of the current owners in the forum, are any indication.

I have the same year and model, but with a Chevy engine.  It has been pretty much worry free, except for poor quality ( cheap)cabinetry and a roof leak that was definitely a design issue. I bought it from Camping World and have avoided their super high repair rates and found repairs as needed , with local shops that I research carefully before using

Camping World did do a good job, under warranty of sealing some windows that leaked the first time we got in  a serious rainstorm.  That storm, however, would have caused leaks in a submarine

I have no experience with the newer models, but have gone Texas to Alaska, returning by way of Kentucky with no serious problems

  4. Rifle was bought unfired and served as a backup for several years to an identical model. When I decided to try a short stroke rifle, I had this one done by Longhunter.  I probably shot it through 10-15 matches until my wife started shooting. I switched to 38’s to keep from having to reload two different calibers for matches and my 45’s just sat in the safe after that. It has a very nicely grained stock and comes with leather wrapped leverIMG_1515.thumb.jpeg.37c3d6eea6b359ec4098ea684fdc93fc.jpeg and butt cover. Has some minor stock and forend dings but metal is very slick   Barrel is 24” which gives it a little more length in the forend for a nice balance, especially if you have long arms. Price $1075 FTF, will ship for $50

  5. Several years ago, I was showing a new shooter how to reload on a Dillon SDB. He showed up with 1000 Starline cases, 1000 200gr 45 RNFP cast bullets and 1000 Remington LPP. I  furnished Clays powder and we spent the day turning out some great looking rounds.

it was a great experience until the next day, when we took them to the range. About half the rounds would not detonate, no matter what weapon was used. The primers were obviously defective. Remington wanted to know the lot number from the box, but never offered any explanation and ignored further inquiries.

Some of these were used for practice over the years, but I recently obtained the remaining 700 of them. What is the most effective way to pull the bullets and remove the remaining primers?

  6. Goody was a motorcycle riding, pawnshop raiding, gun trading cowboy shooting enthusiast who also held down a high level position as an accountant for Goody Goody Liquor Stores. He was also a good friend to those of us in the DFW area SASS clubs and beyond. Once he even ventured out into the clay bird arena and shot skeet and five stand clays leagues with Noah Gonnatellyah, Nueces Outlaw, Silver Sam and I.

Fortunately, that was a short time experiment and we got back to where we belonged at the cowboy range

I will miss him and like many others, I feel like we still have one more “deal” to put together
