I performed a "Dig-Safe" in the town to north of me to replace a storm drain and culvert. The last cable I located and mark was a trunk line fiber cable. It literally went thru the middle of the storm basin. Unbelievable!!!

Common occurrence here. The gas company has pushed "Trenchless" gas lines through sewer, water and even buried hydro lines (..Interesting when that happens!

Sewer cleaning and hydro cutters have regularly cut through low pressure gas lines that had been pushed through the sewer pipes.

We even had an unmarked, unrecorded HPLNG line cut when the cutters tried to clear a blockage in a major sewer.

THAT was really scary, but it would have been instant urban renewal for a few blocks of Ottawa.

  2. I've heard of them as pets, even coyotes, but I don't think I'd trust one around anything small they might think was edible.

Now a skunk, hand reared from a kitten, is a real cuddler.

Except when they decide to chase their toys and play with their ping-pong balls on the kitchen floor at 3:00 AM and Mommy and Daddy are still in bed.

With Schoolmarm’s back problems and surgery coming up, I endeavored to wash the dishes!!  We had let ‘em pile up in the sink for a couple of days to conserve our energy and maybe some water!

So I finished ‘em up and sat down to relax for a spell.  I look down and what do I see??  I’ve got “dishpan hands”!!!

    GRUMP??
