No match here this Saturday; or next for that matter. Going to be busy anyway, hopefully getting some building moved onto our CAS dedicated range. As long as the roads are dry enough, the rain holds off and the black flies and mosquitoes don't carry us off into the bush to eat us. Around here, when you swat a mosquito, you hear a "CRUNCH" That's their ankles breaking.

Fired up the BBQ tonight for supper.

Good talking to you the other day, Jabez. I'm just sitting here, bloated with sea-food right now. Went to the Rideau-Carleton Casino for their buffet and to celebrate our 51st wedding anniversary. Had a big splash last year; this year SWMBO just wanted the R-C and a quiet celebration to mark the day, so a close friend an our son were the only ones with us. Geez! it doesn't seem like 51 years..

My order of .45-70 brass arrived today. 200 Starline. Sat in the family room with SWMBO, a case length trimmer and the de-burring tool to start cleaning them up and did about a quarter. Trying to figure out a good load for a lot of 405 and 500 Grain LRNFP bullets I obtained to try out. Weeds coming up in the lawn, so stay off it.

Don't worry, Mr. Dress-up will gougr collect it for you. Gotta pay for his costumes some how! (Doesn't this just make you so proud?)

First match since last July and the diagnosis. Had a lot of fun and got a warm welcome from the posse. The GRUMPY part was my misses and "P's" Found a picture of my namesake from the 27th Georgia. Water going down around Constance Bay and along the Ottawa and Rideau Rivers, but MAN the damage where the sand bag walls and berms failed. Homes and wells contaminated from overwhelmed septic systems. Even the sand bags and the sand is affected by the contaminated water. # 1 son and a couple of his friends were out volunteering, filling sand bags, ferrying gas to pumps where the electricity was cut off, trying to save them. Second major flood around here since 2017, and that was a "Hundred Year Event" Looks like building on a historical flood plain just may not be a good idea.

Ottawa Valley Marauders have had to cancel their April 27 opening match, due to the weather. Too bad, 'cause it looked like a good one. I couldn't have made it but DANG! Strange says it will be moved to July. I think I'll be able to make that one; Maybe the one next weekend at Cornwall with Ruff's Regulators too! That would be alright after all the ones I had to miss last year. Creek beside my place is rising again, but it's running and doesn't appear to be blocked. Keeping my fingers crossed. Now get off my lawn!

Flooding here. Called out the Army to help out and relieve the folks filling sandbags. Looks like it'll be worse than 2017, with more rain forecast for the next few days. Creek beside my place looks like it's running well, but I'm keeping an eye on it. AND STAY OFF MY LAWN!

That's too true, in some instances. I like to set the cruise control at least 10 over the posted limit, unless I have a big cross wind. On a one lane, I'll pull over if I see people behind me. Usually, after they pass, even at 30 to 40 over my speed, I catch up with them in 5 to 10 minutes.
