I feel for my Canadian Pards
Cold Lake Kid, SASS # 51474 replied to Sedalia Dave's topic in SASS Wire Saloon
Just a tip of the iceberg in your neighbour to the north of you my friends. Did you know our Glorious Leader invited Chinese PLA (Peoples Liberation Army) troops to train for cold weather in Canada? They trained at Garrison Petawawa in Ontario, but are no longer there. It should give you a nice warm fuzzy feeling, to know that they've now returned home. -

I'm continuing my prayers for both of you. -
I would not cut it. If I wanted a carbine length, I would try to buy one or use/offer the rifle as a trade.

I checked with my friend Ron, in Cairns. He tells me the underproof and Cola is usually for the kids and for recess, while the overproof is for the teachers. -
Maybe she has a tapeworm. A voracious tapeworm. Or two.

Well, that was something I had never heard of let alone seen. A pard brought it over and we watched it together: "Mackintosh and T.J.", a more modern type cowboy movie, shot on the 6666 Ranch in the mid '70's. I really enjoyed it. Thanks Palomino Pal. .

I switched from Holy Black to smokeless when I hit 68. (I was tired when I got home but didn't like leaving my toys with Holy Black residue overnight.) I'm 80+ now and still shooting .45s but using the .45 Cowboy Specials, with Titegroup and a 200 gr. LRNFPBB in my SAAs and the .45 Colt brass with 5.0 Gr.Trail Boss and a 250 Gr LRNFPBB for my '73 I would stick with the 12 Ga. and use lighter loads; either reloads or commercial, were I you. Some of those commercial 20 GA shells hit ya like a swung baseball bat, unless they are loaded down.
