Goody, SASS #26190 replied to Chief Rick's topic in SASS Wire
A fantastic Tejano band! -
Where in the rule book does it say that any category has to shoot the rifle from the shoulder? so, how could a penalty ever be warranted for shooting it from the hip?

Goody, SASS #26190 replied to Dingo and Sixgun's topic in SASS Wire
Assuming it is a Uberti, you can try here. https://www.vtigunparts.com/store/shopdisplayproducts.asp?id=42&cat=Uberti+1873+Rifle -
They do not qualify has "hammer guns" to satisfy the requirements in SASS, but may be used as a shotgun in other categories.

I don't see the Shoot n' Scoot on the schedule. Did that fall victim to the PCC match?

Harder strike is needed on the SRP.

Rossi R92 .357 front sight on barrel band
Goody, SASS #26190 replied to tlsemperfi1833's topic in SASS Wire
At one time these guys had bought al the parts from Interarms for the Rossi. Might still have something for you. http://www.mmgunsmith.com/home.html -
And how!!!!!!!!!!!!!

As I purchased it used the previous owner must have done some mods on it.

I somehow got the idea that you were talking about a '60 Army with a conversion cylinder.
-
I am under the impression that a Frontiersman has to shoot a SASS legal rifle, lever or pump action. By the way, love the square back. Somewhere around here I have a '61 square back, my favorite look of all.
-
I was taught that it doesn't have to be entering the holster, but that the holster mouth had a "halo" effect. Much like in basketball where it's called in the cylinder.
-
I was taught that the 180 degree was a cone, not an arc.

Isn't Dillon just down the road?

Try and ascertain if it is a "Kit Gun" or not. -

Saw a post on FB concerning these. Would they fit into our rules? https://mayhemsmerc.com/shop/ols/products/heartless-speed-lever "The top opening lever on break action shotguns may be bent (re-profiled) by no more than ½" from the center of the tang to the outside edge of the lever."

Navy Arms/Pedersoli Rolling Block Re-Barrel Gunsmith
Goody, SASS #26190 replied to La Sombra's topic in SASS Wire
Might check with Boomstick Jay. He re-barrels revolvers and I believe main match rifles. Being in-state he could ship back directly to you saving FFL fees on your end. Also Lonnie Amon is down your way. -
The Sargent's used to bring assorted weaponry to EOT. In the three years I attended, all in New Mexico, I fired a 308 version (smokeless), a 45-70 version (BP) and a Mountain Howitzer. These guys were to official armorer for R. Lee Ermey on that show he did, Lock and Load.

Opening fixed choke on Stoeger coach gun
Goody, SASS #26190 replied to Pine_Worker's topic in SASS Wire
As OLG stated, if this gun is for SASS don't bother. As proof pattern your gun at 10 yds. You won't see much difference at the distance we shoot.
