    Howdy We is getting da Snow now , bout 4 inches so far .....

    These little Kitty's get quite big out here where there is lot's to eat ....

    I have seen Trail-cam pictures of one leaping a 6 foot high fence with a 40 pound dog in it's mouth in the middle of a town ...

    That dog was the third the house owner "lost" in under 2 years and the reason for the trail-cam ...

     

    Cat Food = small dog

    Ya know maybe we ought to get some more City Botts into da country ta Feed da Cats...

    The Cats of which I speak are expanding their range like never before here in eastern Alberta as well as in the Mountains from which their name derives ....

     

    Nice Kitty ,,,,, Nice Kitty ....

     

    They are coming into Schools, Main street shops and Malls ,,,, maybe they are shopping for Christmas dinner ....

    Howdy Jabez.

     

    Although I don't keep a 'record' of group size, I do keep some of the more important targets that show both good and bad grouping of certain powders. This helps me from buying the 'inaccurate' stuff and wasting my time in the future.

     

    One other thing I have done with my 'Pairs' of pistols is Chronograph EACH pistol.

     

    I have one set of Ruger Vaq. that actually have a velocity difference of about 25 fps with identical loads. And my Chronograph results were consistent with varies powders and bullet weights.

    One pistol just has a higher velocity average than the other pistol.

    I have one 4 5/8 inch gun that turns in higher velocities than my 5 1/2 inch gun with most

    powders, both are in .45 Colt .... I have Two 4 5/8 inch and one 5 1/2 in guns that I use for Cowboy they shoot good for Windage

    with every powder tried so far ,,, With the exception of one gun using Win.231 powder this one gun shoots a

    foot left at 25 yards when using my standard load of 231 .... All my other guns including rifles shoot this

    load right down the middle ... So if I'm using 231 this gun gets to take a break from the action...

    With Promo, Red Dot , True Blue , 700X , etc. and 3F it shoots on center ...

    My records are very complete as to velocities and other varibles in loading ammo ....

    It seems that when ever my Sister-in-law comes ta visit da wind kicks up ... Nice warning that company is on

    And yes my Saddle Partner keeps life interesting ...

    Rossi 92 Questions, Update: Got my rifle...

    My 92 is a 24 inch Oct. Barreled version I load the "Speer" 300 gr. FP bullet at 1,500 Fps. and it will keep 5 shots under 4 inches at 100 meters using the factory open sights....

    It will also keep my Match loads of a full case load of Goex 3F under a Soft Cast 270 grain RNFP bullet lubed with SPG in a sub 4 inch group at 100 Meters ...

     

    Both loads will take a big Alberta deer ....

    Them Open-Tops is easy ta Clean ,,, Fill a Basin/Sink (in Camper) with hot water and little dish-soap..Pop the wedges, drop da barrel , cylinder and wedge in the water,,,, wipe the rest down with a rag

    soaked in Ballisol .... A couple of passes through each cylinder hole and bore with a brush, wipe the

    wedges then set the warm paets on some paper towel to dry ... Have a Cold one for da grump!!!

    Then make a couple of passes threw each hole with Balistol on a patch put them back together ,,, good

    to go ... It's da rifle that takes the time ta clean ,,, or the 97/87 ...

    Doubles is easy ta clean and my 66 in .38-40 only needs the bore cleaned and a shot of balistol on the carrier and a wipe down with an oily rag ... It gets the side plates taken of bout once a year for a

    more complete cleaning ....

    Tell Granny to NOT over fill yer mug as ya don't need the strain...

     

    Many fills is what you need ... Tell her pie really goes well with coffee ...

     

    Might be able to slip-in a Sask. shoot in the up-coming year ...
