  2. Some years ago I offered to help the factory get the BB to run better for this game, they rebuffed me quite rudely ,stating that their guns were USA made and ran as intended....

The good news was he found a Rancher to buy the BB for a knock-about gun and I found him a lightly used 92 to which I added a little free smoothing.... He shot that 92 for 4 years before his passing ...

  5. The 120 gr. load with 3F. Goex but using a pillow ticking patch lubed with bear oil and bee wax mixed 40% oil to 60% wax is my hunting load in my "Lyman Trade Rifle" with a 1-48 twist ....

I had a 50 cal with 1-72 twist that just loved even heavyer loads of 3F. The barrel was Made for me in Montana many years ago , and I used it to win the provincial championship many moons ago ... The hunting load for this gun was 180 grains ...

  8. Yes the "Pet Loads" by Ken Waters is "Old" the principles still hold true and I am amazed how often he was BANG on with-out having the use of modern pressure testing equipment ....

He noticed many "small" things and used sound judgement in making the "Calls" he made ... Fine Gentleman ...
