  1. There is a difference between diesel and gas engines, especially in cold weather. I have a Ford diesel (my 4th one since 1983) and it has a block heater that also heats the fuel system when it is plugged in. It also has remote starting from my key fob. In the winter I always plug it in and remotely start it before I am ready to go. The cab heater/defroster also automatically goes on when the remote start is used. I don't remote start my car hardly at all except during the winter. It also has the same feature as the truck, remotely starting the heater defroster. No warnings in either owners manuals about idling. I remember my Dad idling his 50 Chevy in the winter to warm it up too.
  2. Just renewed a jumbo cd for 12 months @ 5%. Beats the 3 1/2% I was getting last year and the 1 1/2% 2 years ago.
  3. When I was a youngster I remember riding in my Dade's cay on the old road before the Interstate was built. It was slow.
  4. Yep...he was out there on the next time they had to punt and did fine!!! He should get an Oscar for his performance!! LOL!
  5. Took me about 18 months. It was my rehab job while I was recuperating from cancer surgery.
  6. I did all the work myself other than paint & interior. It has a 351 Cleveland in it that I built too.
  7. I also don't think it is a roll bar in the picture. Might even be a station wagon with a screen or curtain for separation of front & back.
  8. I guess you arn't old enough to remember when cars (and PU trucks) had a push button starter. My Dad's 48 GMC pickup had one. You turned the key on with your right hand and pushed the starter button with your left, it being on the left side of the steering wheel. My Dad also had a 39 Chevy 4door with a foot starter button.
  9. The car IS NOT early 60's. It is more than likely early 50's. I had a 50 Chevy that looked almost like the interior on this car. I bought a new 62 Ford that had elect windows, A/C, floor shift automatic and bucket seats.
  10. The only ones that I'll do anything with different than putting in the smoker and grill is elk or moose ribs. The meat is pretty tough and grilling just makes it tougher. I pressure cook the ribs for about 5 minutes to tenderize and them put them on the grill.
  11. My wife and I are both in our early 80's and we have never had Covid....but what we have had is the original shot and 4 booster (the last about 6 weeks ago). I have several friends who didn't have anything and caught covid and passed away. Sorry guys, I believe in the preventative shot and boosters. I taken shots to prevent diseases all life my and will continue to do so . I have never had polio, pneumonia, tetanus, yellow fever or small pox.....just sayin.
