  1. SEDALIA!!

Yepper.  All Pietta Open Top grip frames/sets are a universal fitment.  ALL Pietta Cap Guns are built on the basic 1851 frame and then altered "as required."   Uberti Open Top guns are the same but sometimes take a little more fiddling.  Pietta/Uberti DO NOT interchange.  Lots and lots of fitting to do that.  Uberti also changes the basic frame size starting at the 1862 and going back/down.

Forgot.  Every once in a while a stepped 1860 cylinder will fit and 1851 frame.  VERY CLOSE tolerance there.  Usually a No-Go.

Well Gee Cypress, I appreciate the compliment!!  I do pay attention to physics I do.  I would like to point out however, the particular "Dolphins" you reference while quite robust, are positioned directly in front of the bridge supports.  The Dali, unfortunately,  arrived at the bridge at an angle, out of the channel, and would have by-passed your specific Dolphins.

I think (speculation/opinion) one of the largest problems with the Baltimore Bridge and well as many others, is the shipping channel is quite narrow which invites disaster.  Never underestimate MURPHY!!   Drive anything, the size and mass of a loaded Container Ship into bridge supports, you're gonna bring it down.  Oh, and just as Tid Bit of trivia, 99 percent of the Super Size Container Ships and Super Tankers are Single Engine/Single Screw vessels.  About  as maneuverable as a Brick guided by an Ant.   Profit above all else ya know.

When we look at the actual time lines, there was insufficient time to do anything more than what was done to get the bridge approaches closed to any additional traffic.

I also notice our attending Maritime and Marine Engineers coupled with our ever knowledgeable Civil Engineers are all right on top of what is required to change the track of 130,000 Tons let alone to even attempt to stop that much Mass in Motion.  There are no existing Dolphins capable of stopping that kind of mass.  It's physics ya know.

  4. Aw cummon.  Didja ever think that depending of the angle of inclination and the relative orbital relationships, the actual time of the total eclipse will vary.  The time differential may well be quite accurate, not withstanding the number of astrophysicist astronomers we have present in the room.

WELL Heck.  Hate to be the harbinger of ill tidings.  However, I have never seen a 125Gr TCFP with TWO crimp grooves.  What you are mistaking for a lower crimp groove is actually intended as a receptacle for LUBE in uncoated bullets.  Not that you can't crimp in the grease groove, but it wasn't intended for that purpose.

Additionally, at our most common load levels for CAS gaming, at our extreme ranges (7 to 10 yards), you're definitely not going to see a measurable difference in the seating depth with regards accuracy or performance.  The larger difference will be observed whether you  manage to hold yer tongue right, or not.

  6. Au Contrare Monsuer . . . Our daylight bombing was much better than the Brits were at night.  "We" could better see by how much we missed the actual target.

It depends.  Within the Open Top Family, ALL the Cylinder/Barrel combinations can be changed around.  The Only R/M Barrel I know of that will swap to the Open Top is the .38.  In the past, the 44 R/M and 45 R/M would NOT swap to the Open Top.

Allow me to be the spoil sport.  Should ya peek, at no time is the trigger finger inside the lever.  The screw appliance for the trigger is quite visible once you know what to look for.

Then we have the key questions.  What difference does it make ??  Who really cares ??  Can some folks actually count past 10 ??.  Will an 1892 Carbine actually hold more than 10 ??  "Five-In-One" Blanks ??  Was the Armorer a Girl ??  How come his pocket isn't bulging with cartridges ??  Is he gonna be late for dinner ??

Already has.  There are already several "Replicants" powered by small turbojet engines.  The two I reference are painted a real striking Red Colour.  They are not as fast as the original rocket powered ME-163s though.  I do find the references to the power of the engine in "Kilonewtons" as a nuisance since our unit of measure is in "pounds" of thrust.

  10. I don't begin to excuse the "runner."  However, we live in a very small town that boasts a University.  The students seem hell bent on just stepping off into traffic without a glance.  Same Same in Pittsburgh around Pitt.  University students seem to be universally ignorant.  Step in front of vehicles whether a cross walk or not.

PLUS ONE for Marshal Mo you betcha

  11. For those who constantly whine about a "Level Playing Field."  There has never been a "level playing field" in the CAS game and there never will be.  Way too many variables.  Run What Ya Brung and quit whining.

PLUS ONE for Culpepper you betcha.
