Practiscore user here. made a master template of all 9 stages, then clone and delete stages we aren't using. Add the name of the match, and we're ready to go
One gripe is that as we add new categories (they call them something else, and I'm not at our tablets) they just go to the bottom of the list--haven't found a way to alphabetize them with the ones provided
small problem

Got Steve Wozniak's on the program flyer he spoke at. Framed it
Also, Holy Terror's for my wife Violet Peacock (semi-character* from the movie Stagecoach, one first one with John Wayne in it). Put it in a frame with her picture from the SASS Chronicle
*She was only spoken about in the movie--never seen

If you go with the Marlin, keep the screws tight.

since I cast my own bullets, they would go in the pot and I'd make the ones I needed

down a side trail
been watching Miss Marple on cable. I just grit my teeth every time they refer to the semi-auto as a revolver.

Sometimes the 'troops' would make up their own ranks. We had a few "Senior" Sp 4s in the boonies in RVN
-
Got to demo one in RVN for the replacements*. Boy, was it hot behind it! would have hated to be in front of it
*The First Team Academy (TFTA), 1st Cav. The brass put the "THE" in there; otherwise, it would have been FTA

Here in Houston, it's t-shirts and shorts for a good 8 months of the year. probably long pants and sweat shirt in our "winter"

We had a shooter blow up his revolver: the top strap and 3 uppermost cylinders we all torn off the gun. He wasn't hurt, nor any posse members, but we all stood there for a few seconds like a still life picture.
Turns out he had purchased some reloaded ammo at a gun show.
"funny" thing: he is a lawyer and was going to sue the gun manufacturer for the failure.
We had to use small words and took our time to tell him why that wasn't a good idea.
and no, it was not Nostrum Damus.

rode in them a lot in RVN. 1st Cav was Airmobile.
still can tell by their sound when they fly over

I'm pretty sure that at one point in that video he referred to himself as a Texan.
Last I heard, that was a capital offense - somebody that wasn't born there calling themselves a Texan. I believe the exact punishment is "being dragged to death behind a pickup truck".
pretty sure Sam Houston and Stephen F. Austin weren't born in Texas . . . just saying 🤠

our Beloved, President for Life, had a gunsmith convert a .32-20 to shoot .32 H&R Mags. It required cutting a new chamber, and the cartridges had to be loaded 'long'. In his honor, we called them .32 Crockett.
If I remember, the term PRICEY was used in describing the operation

I thought so too. I used to bring 2x the required ammo until I became more confident in my reloading skills
I still bring double in case someone needs to borrow ammo

We have, in the past, allowed big-bore rifles, shooting 5 rounds in our match. Had another set of targets way out there for them. This was in our normal monthly matches. Incroaching civilization made us stop allowing these rifle-caliber rifles.
I know Willow Hole Cowboys works them into their matches every month.

you would be able to see them while the rifle is in the rack

time-consuming but a good way to do it.

I still recall the Ice Man making deliveries when I was a child.
First on a horse drawn wagon and then a truck.
Big ice tongs and a leather protector on his shoulder when he carried the block into the house and placed it in the ice box.
was visiting family in Williamsport, PA, and the ice man came by with ice for my aunt. I was fascinated watching the operation.
