More on the story--I, being the guy that ended up with the brass, and tried to "fix/deepen" the primer pockets back to their original depth. So far no joy, Took took a drill bit of proper size and flattened the bottom, it was slightly rounded. Then put it in a drill press backwards and measured how deep a 'good' primer pocket was (case on table, primer pocket up). Put a damaged case in and attempted to push it down to the right size--crumpled the case before I could get the pocket deepened. After repeated attempts, still had primers proud of the case cr;,
