Get a set of snap caps. Pit them in the Barrels, pull triggers put away. Doing it with snap caps takes tension off of springs. Don't snap them without snap caps. If you do will mushroom firing pins.

We are the same age. I have a Shiloh in 45-70. Great Rifle. I shoot a 500 Gr, Bullet with 72 gr, of Swiss 1 1/2. I have been thinking about getting one in 40-65. A little forgiving on shoulder. Put a recoil pad, on that rifle. Especially if it has a steel But Plate on it. Your shoulder will thank you.

EMF sold firearms from Army San Marko. They had a model called Dakota, and Hartford. The Hartford model was the top of there line. The Dakota model was a secondary parts, that didn't make it to the Hartford. On the left side of the Barrel, a lot of the Hartfords said Frontier Six Shooter. Good pistols I have 3 of them. Parts were supposed to interchange with Colts.
