Many choko vines, including my Grandmothers, were grown over the outdoor dunny

My maternal Grandmother used to use one half an apple to make her "apple" pies; yep, half an apple and 15 of them bloody choko's .......... (she weren't a good cook) Bless Her I'm pretty sure that they was named choko 'cause they'll "choko" a horse ....
