Yes, your gallon is only 3.8 litres whereas ours is 4.5 litres. Our miles are about the same as yours, about 1600 metres. To get 30mpg I think they fitted a very heavy return spring to the accelerator and very carefully drove down a 30 mile hill with a very strong tail wind ......... (in my notso humble opinion)
