  1. 2 years???? Wow that's longer than I thought!!What the H$#@ takes 'em so long??? It can't take two years to make one and I doubt they're that behind on orders. Maybe they just have 2 guys working in the custom shop on saa's???
  2. My mother's birthday is today (she would have been 100, she passed in 1996) so we always did Christmas eve as Christmas and mom's birthday but saved most of the presents for Christmas Day! Yep, two days of celebrating. We now do Christmas eve at my sister's and actually nothing Christmas day! MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!
  3. My friend did a 97 stock, stripped it, sanded it and applied Tru-Oil, looks nice!! He said it was an easy job too!!
  4. I think just about anything would be fun with her!!
  5. Yep this is gonna be a "Rainy Christmas"…I'm not complaining!! A White Christmas is over rated!!
  6. In March I bought an 1895 Marlin Cowboy in .45-70 for $799.00 brand new in box!!!
  7. That's what I thought Redwood!! You're correct on the pricing. I bought two Colts here on the wire, one for 1150.00 and the other for 1600.00 (it had 2 cylinders with it) I have another that I bought a while back for some trading and turned out to be a GREAT deal!! I'm still looking for another in .44-40!!!
  8. Where in the world did you hear that????
  9. I;m still thinking about a Christmas present for myself, got a couple in mind, waiting for an "after the holidays sale!"
  10. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-4061096/Danish-police-say-man-matching-description-Berlin-lorry-attack-suspect-seen-Aalborg.html
  11. The Indians signed Edward Encarcion (Blue Jays who the beat in the playoffs in 5 games) to a 3 year deal. He's good for 40+ homers. With a healthy Micheal Brantley, Encarcion and the rest of last year's crew it's looking like it could be another great season!!! http://www.cleveland.com/tribe/index.ssf/2016/12/cleveland_indians_edwin_encarn_1.html GO TRIBE!!!
  12. MERRY CHRISTMAS & HAPPY NEW YEAR!!
  13. They are worse!!! Used to be $25 a bag!! Not that long ago either!!
  14. I may not be saving a whole ton of money but I'm saving some! I have too much invested in chucking it all and buying factory anyway. I've got a ton of once fired shells, lots and lots of wads, which are cheap and plenty of primers and powder. The most expensive thing I find to be is the shot! $35-40 for 25# bag. Ouch!!! I use 1 oz. of shot, and white or pink wads and Univerals Clays which I have probably 10 lbs or more. I have not found a factory load that compares to my loads, I love 'em!! I have a Mec 650, easy to load, fast and fun!
  15. http://www.usatoday.com/story/tech/sciencefair/2016/12/20/winter-solstice/95656640/ Today's the shortest day of the year, better hurry up with your tasks!!
  16. All the 3 day local shoots 'round here give out stuff that shows you were there and participated in the shoot. They're not real "awards" they're more like souvenirs, like plastic or tin badges with your name on it, coffee cups, maybe a baseball cap or t-shirt. All pretty cool stuff!
  17. Do you know that crazy people here are actually planning a parade for the BROWNS if they go 0-16!!! I actually might go!!! http://fox8.com/2016/12/19/browns-perfect-season-parade-reaches-fundraising-goal/
  18. I would say go with the Stoeger. Hammerless is the way to go. I shot a TTN hammered shotgun for 4 -5 years and when I went back to hammerless it was a joy! I got rid of my hammer guns and now have 2 Stoegers and a Baikal. Hammered shotguns are definitely the most "cowboy" but I like to try and go as fast as I can so the hammerless is my choice!
  19. Shooting smokeless is probably the smartest thing you can do! It's cheaper easier to load and clean the guns and you can see the targets! I shot the sooty stuff for 8 years, I went back to smokeless and it's the best thing I've done in a long time. Now on to Gunfighter!!!!
  20. For hunting probably okay but for CAS, no way!!
