  1. They are worse!!! Used to be $25 a bag!! Not that long ago either!!
  2. I may not be saving a whole ton of money but I'm saving some! I have too much invested in chucking it all and buying factory anyway. I've got a ton of once fired shells, lots and lots of wads, which are cheap and plenty of primers and powder. The most expensive thing I find to be is the shot! $35-40 for 25# bag. Ouch!!! I use 1 oz. of shot, and white or pink wads and Univerals Clays which I have probably 10 lbs or more. I have not found a factory load that compares to my loads, I love 'em!! I have a Mec 650, easy to load, fast and fun!
  3. http://www.usatoday.com/story/tech/sciencefair/2016/12/20/winter-solstice/95656640/ Today's the shortest day of the year, better hurry up with your tasks!!
  4. All the 3 day local shoots 'round here give out stuff that shows you were there and participated in the shoot. They're not real "awards" they're more like souvenirs, like plastic or tin badges with your name on it, coffee cups, maybe a baseball cap or t-shirt. All pretty cool stuff!
  5. Yea for a big fat paycheck???
  6. Do you know that crazy people here are actually planning a parade for the BROWNS if they go 0-16!!! I actually might go!!! http://fox8.com/2016/12/19/browns-perfect-season-parade-reaches-fundraising-goal/
  7. I would say go with the Stoeger. Hammerless is the way to go. I shot a TTN hammered shotgun for 4 -5 years and when I went back to hammerless it was a joy! I got rid of my hammer guns and now have 2 Stoegers and a Baikal. Hammered shotguns are definitely the most "cowboy" but I like to try and go as fast as I can so the hammerless is my choice!
  8. Shooting smokeless is probably the smartest thing you can do! It's cheaper easier to load and clean the guns and you can see the targets! I shot the sooty stuff for 8 years, I went back to smokeless and it's the best thing I've done in a long time. Now on to Gunfighter!!!!
  9. For hunting probably okay but for CAS, no way!!
  10. Wow and I thought it was cold here!!! 21 above yesterday, today and the whole week is predicted to be 35 and above!!! Think I'll be wearing my t-shirt (Indians of course) and shorts and go for a walk!! People are complaining because the snow we had piled on us will probably be gone by Christmas eve! Boo hoo hoo
  11. The only thing I remember her in was Green Acres with Eddie Albert, that was a pretty funny show and she played a real ditz!
  12. Yay!!! Congratulations to you and Cayenne Kay and your whole family! Another .22 rifle????
  13. Only two more losses and the BROWNS will be a perfect 0-16 !!!
  14. I found a sweet spot too!!! Best gun in the west they say…………8,824,241 489 bounces no accidents!! Yippee!!!!
  15. I like Star Wars, like Utah Bob said they're action movies! I've seen ever one so far, no reason not to see this one! Actually looks pretty darn good!
  16. Thanks for a good laugh!!
  17. 42 yesterday with rain on top of the 16" of snow that was piled up. This morning everything has turned to ice and it's going to be a high of around 32!! Good news is I'm meeting a couple pards for lunch at Texas Roadhouse!
  18. It could actually be something that's missing parts!!! Anyone???
  19. You're just an old cranky angry white COLD male!!! Just think of Pam's biscuits and gravy!! That'll warm ya up!
  20. Browns vs. Buffalo, an article today by a local sports writer, who I like reading, said that teams are playing just as hard if not harder against the Browns because no one wants to be the "team that lost to the Browns" Bills are 6-7, I betcha they're a little nervous!
  21. Supposed to be 26 high tomorrow and snow, the fish are hiding way down under, so I'll nix that idea!
  22. I thought John Wayne got a medical deferment because of an old football injury.(??) http://www.breitbart.com/big-hollywood/2010/02/28/john-wayne-world-war-ii-and-the-draft/ That said I'll take Clint's movies anyway over Wayne's, I like 'em both but Clint's the man!! Oh and yea Coffinmaker I agree, Ann Margaret
