So, with 2028 being a possible TEOTWAWKI, should we worry about the Unix 2038 problem yet or the Y5B?
I looked up the Y2K problem and it was totally understated in the retrospectives. In our preparations, tons of computers and databases crashed when we pretended it was midnight Jan 1, 2000. We spent months prepping for that.
What’s TEOTWAWKI? I’m too lazy to search it😂

Interesting, the OP hasn't been back since his initial post
Maybe he doesn’t like the suggestions to ditch the 9mm? 🙄

He has contracts with NASA, that doesn’t mean it’s exempt from Investigations from DOGE!

I don’t trust him.
I gathered that. I totally disagree, I think he’s great for the country and a very brilliant guy!
Let’s get back to the asteroid and stop the Elon bashing please?🙏🏻-

I don’t drink hardly at all, occasionally a beer or a glass of wine. I just thought this Doc Holiday display case was pretty cool. 🤠

CCI or Federal have always done well in my .22’s. I have a SW Victory model, a pair of Heritage revolvers, a Henry rifle and a Ruger 10/22

He would in no way fund taking all of us to mars, building the place, feeding. Even His resources are limited. It’s not possible either so the question is moot.
Of course not he’s working with NASA!

But it won’t be out of HIS pocket.
Well it will be protecting all of us so are you suggesting that he pay it all alone? We would all benefit from it!🙄
I’ll bet most of it would come from him!😎 -
I bought a shotgun two weeks ago and the place I bought it at still calls in the 4473. It took 15 minutes! Way too long to wait! 😂😂
Most places here do it online and if you have a current CCL they don’t call it in at all. My CCL has expired and I haven’t renewed because we have a Constitutional Carry in place.

No worries, Elon Musk will come up with a laser beam to destroy it before it gets anywhere near us! Mark my words!

There has been about a dozen posts about Taylor’s 9mm ‘73 rifle and more than one or two posts about legal, factory 9mm ammo. All within the past 3 weeks.
I know that but the ammo is still a problem unless you reload and it’s not going to be easy to find a 9 mm in a revolver or rifle as they not being stocked everywhere. It’s not going to be easy to find factory lead 9mm even coated. So far only one person posted where you can find some. My point is why make it hard for yourself when traditional SASS calibers are a much better choice.

It’s like $65.00 a year to support a pro gun group and sport! It’s not a lot of money !

You’ll need a rifle too and good luck finding that plus you’ll have to reload because I haven’t seen any lead 9mm. It’s a bad choice for this sport. .38/.357 is a much better choice!

Now in my upper 80’s, I no longer travel to and compete in State Championship matches, or
distant one-day shoots. Because of this, I have ceased paying yearly dues. However, I am still an active shooter, and believe in SASS and its principles. I simply cannot justify the cost of yearly dues. So I’d like to know your thoughts regarding allowing those in my position to
pay half dues. Whatever income SASS would derive from this would be more than its getting
now, and I wouldn’t feel like a freeloader. Thank you.
I hear ya but I pay to support the sport I’ve been involved in since 1997. SASS literally changed my life!

I’ve tried few bourbons, Makers and Bulliet but I’m just not a fan of bourbon or whiskey unless it’s in a mixed drink with Pepsi or Coke or Ginger ale.
