Max It’s been a great ride. I’ve been blessed to have shot 23 TN State Matches at Wartrace. This is my 16th TN State to organize and run. I have met so many fantastic Cowgirls and Cowboys over the years. Some have faded away but I still think about them. One of my best friends and mentor is Papa Dave. I pray the younger people will carry on the tradition and keep SASS strong and relevant in the shooting world. 1st time I requested a warmup that was full. Fixed that and still didn’t work. Clicked on sign up again, requested another warmup and hit submit. It took me to a page that showed all sign up info. Shortly after that I got my confirmation email.

I hit the submit button. How do you know if it went through?

Purly MSV, Miss and a P. 3rd target was hit with 8th and 9th round. Was supposed to be hit with 9 and 10. Whiskey

Hoss Since this stage had a particular target engagement order you could have gotten a P for shooting the targets in the wrong order. In this case the miss didn't cause the P. If you skipped the target that the unfired round was suppose to be engaged with you didn't earn a P because you maintained the correct target order. If TO and 3 spotters didn't see the P BOD to the shooter. Whiskey

Widder, I believe arrears pertains to the use of illegal/items and firearms. Whiskey Page 33 Page 4 also covers illegal items The use of a non-SASS legal firearm results in a Stage Disqualification (SDQ) for each stage the illegal firearm is used. Penalties for illegal equipment/items and firearms are not awarded in arrears but should be corrected before the competitor shoots the next stage. Any violations noticed after the shooter has cleared all firearms may not be penalized.

I have an old 9422 that is very accurate. Not sure of the date manufactured. I call this gun my trusty rusty 9422. I also have a 9417. Very accurate rifle made in the early 2,000, can’t remember exact year. Neither rifle is built like a 94 or 92. I also have a 94 trapper in 357 that is my favorite truck rifle cause it’s short and handy. This 94 is very accurate out to 100 yds. I have terminated several coyotes with this rifle.

Don’t pay any attention to TW or RSE they are cyborgs not human. I will tell they both cut the 1/4” rope at 30’ with 38 derringer so don’t let them sucker you into betting. Whiskey

The little Bond is a Mini. It has 2.5" barrels. With short barrels and big bore still out weighs the American by 4 oz.

The American is a 38 special engraved by Kelly Lassiter. The grips are real ivory. I prefer the looks and lines of the American but the Bond is a better built gun. The Bond is 45 Colt but I shoot the 45 Cowboy Special. Bond is a lot heavier gun but not larger than the American, just has more meat.

If the game requires mental and physical exertion it is referred to as a game or sport and both terms are correct. A game that requires only mental exertion is only referred to as a game. Card game, checkers, monopoly etc.

Who would have thought a high speed machine running solid raw materials needed oiling and cleaning. TW is a high speed machine that is lubed with nanner splits and nanner pudding. The cleaning part however is in question.

Papa Dave has touched many lives in the SASS family and it is with great sadness, grieve and heartache I must share the news of his passing this morning.

Randy Whoever was running that side match should not have allowed you to shoot your BB gun. TN Williams you know you’re not suppose to eat nanner splits. They do affect your thought process. Whiskey

Widder,Capt Bill,Branch Looking forward to seeing all of you guys at TN State. Widder just seemed to be some doubt in some the threads if the correct call was made. Just thought I would point out how the rule could be misinterpreted and how the misinterpretation could be resolved. However, if there is a range failure (props, timer, RO’s) that is beyond the competitor’s control, a reshoot may be granted. Branch, this is what you posted. A failure that is beyond the shooter's control. By shooting the rifle last did the shooter influence the timer? Something nobody has brought up is benefit of the doubt goes to the shooter. Nobody really knows why the timer failed in the OP regardless of what the shooter did. I would have given a reshoot. Hope I didn't increase your indigestion. Whiskey

Branch Your hypothetical isn't the same as OP. Poor stage design is out of the shooter's control. Big shooter small TO is out of shooter's control. Shooter has control over shooting guns in the correct order. Shooting rifle last can/does create timer issues. Both calls require looking at what the shooter has control over and what he doesn't. Creeker I do agree with your goal. Video ok, painted targets between shooters ok. Now here is the but. Pro sports have multiple cameras with pros operating them. If you look at the reviewed calls over 60% is call on the field stands. That means video evidence is inconclusive. Now we’re talking about one amateur probably using a cell phone. Won’t help with subjectivity. Then the painted targets. A lot of clubs shoot on ranges on a shared firing line. Not practical for all clubs. The best way to eliminate subjectivity is at the club level. It is tough on a club that runs 50 to 60 shooters on a hot day. Your looking at needing 3 TO’s per posse. However you should be able to come with 3 good posse Marshall’s that know the rules. If you don’t have that in your club training needs to take place. SASS (PW) is doing a very good job at explaining the rules. Quoting chapter and verse. I do believe in what you’re trying to achieve. But I do believe it is up to each SASS club to focus on consistency regarding rules and calls. Same goal just a different approach to consider. I do think this starts with each club president and their club members.

Yes but each SASS affiliated club must apply for CMP membership each year
