Well, for once I agree with Alpo. This world is just crawling with weird people who don't do things I do the way I do. WEIRD!!!

That Henry is certifiably butt ugly. I would buy one in a minute if they were available and if they were affordable. 30 rounds of .44-40 would suit me just fine.

Oh, no! I couldn't do that. In a pig's a$$ I couldn't! Hell, I'm old enough I just don't give a damn if I offend someone. I've done before, will do it again. It doesn't embarrass me but I've had some other folks that were And I've been known to pay for someone's coffee or meal, or whatever "just because".

A QUESTION OF PROTOCOL
Forty Rod SASS 3935 replied to Linn Keller, SASS 27332, BOLD 103's topic in SASS Wire Saloon
My kids are always worried about me having enough food, but when they drop in and check the fridges, cupboards and pantry they are always amazed that I'M NOT PREPARED TO STARVE.....OR EVEN MISS MEAL. I might run out of some perishables (milk, some fresh veggies, etc.) if to disaster goes on long enough. I'm more likely to run out of something stupid like face tissues or paper towels. -

Of all my dogs, pedigreed and curs, only one was a failure. He was a three year old dachshund and we were his fifth family. He was an "Army dog" and when someone got transferred he went back to the shelter. He never bonded with anyone. We had a seven month old baby and the dog never hurt him but made a lot of trouble. The final straw was when we got up one morning a found he'd gotten into our son's playpen over night and crapped all over it. I took him down to the Canine Center and told them what happened. The OIC was a Captain who was a friend and I told him I really didn't want the dog put down. He took him back to the kennel where the guard dogs were kept and got him checked out by the vet and put in a training pen. A month or so later I ran into the man I had given him to and asked about the dog. He told me that the dog had "melded right in." He slept in his own area but had the run of the place during the day. When they went to care for the other dogs this little critter ran ahead, checked the other dogs out, then went to the next and the next pen. He spent the day in the office or the yard and became a "caretaker and guardian" of the entire K-9 facility. He was "one of the pack" and found a home. -

That's exactly why I bought this one. -

That was a rude and naughty thing to do to that last pan.......but it might be buffed out and saved. Hey, Alpo, give it a try. -
The U. S. Bureau of Indian Affairs did the same thing with Amerindian kids up until about 1975: took them out of their homes, put them in schools where they were forbidden from speaking their native tongue and couldn't even use their native cultural things because it wasn't "convenient" for the bureaucrats running it. It was, in my mind, a criminal a racial attack by our own government to destroy the American Indian cultures.

I bought a Uberti Colt-Burgess rifle about a year ago, just because. It's a lot like the 1973 Winchester, but enough different that it makes it worthwhile. One problem: I afraid to take it apart. It has some really tiny parts and I have some really clumsy hands anymore. It sure handles nicely, though, and draws some great comments and a herd of questions. -

Upgrade the technical gadgetry to find and destroy targets (and identify friendly forces that may be used as support, especially defensive systems to protect the ship). Add target acquisition and identification electronics to spot and destroy other targets using whatever is needed. If necessary improve the armor of the ships. Use support systems like aircraft, satellites, submarines, and anything else for detection and identification of everything in a vast range. UPGRADE AND KEEP THE BIG GUNS. PROUDLY FLAUNT AND ADVERTISE THE CAPABILITIES OF THESE SHIPs, IF FOR NO OTHER REASON THAN THE INTIMIDATION FACTOR

We put one in as soon as we bought our house. Two years later I added a solar light set similar to yours. I have replaced the flags several times and the light array once. Lots of flags here. About 1/4 of the homes have them and a lot of cars trucks, businesses, evernmotorcycle and bicycles have them. Feels good!

I have a shelter rescue dog. She's almost 14 years old and still quite active. Only 12 pounds, but she's also very vicious. She will jump right in the middle of almost anyone, try to beat them to death with her tail, lick then down to the bone, and then shed on their clothes. -
I can buy a very good creamed chipped beef from Stouffer's and bread from Sara Lee for about 15% of the cost of a cafe dinner. I can make my own biscuits and sausage gravy...and I make some mighty fine B&G..., but Nana's Cafe in Prescott makes some that's almost as good as mine and I don't have to clean up afterwards.

717B (party line of five alpha character endings), became SKyline 2-2175 in 1957, later changed to 752-2175 and stayed that way from 1965 until 1998 when Mom died. -
There's a place on Gurley Ave in downtown Prescott that specializes in mead. I've never been there, but my daughter and SIL go there and stock up every time they come to visit. Then they "boot leg" it back to North Carolina. :D

Huh!! I never thought of it that way. I don't remember not having it our house except it was hard to get overseas. Commissaries used to lack a lot but I'm told they have everything stateside groceries have these days.

Not a problem, Doc. Pobody's nerfect. Thanks for trying.

Well, hell! I have Buddig's beef and pastrami in my fridge all the time, along with some others like Black Forest ham. I never made the connection but I'll give it a shot. Thanks.

Reading this again brought four more to mind. I have owned all of them at one time or another. 1. 1965 era Ruger Bearcat .22. I gave one to my wife when we got married. My daughter has it now and won't give it back. 2. 1917 S&W in original condition. 3. S&W Model 19 with a 2.5" barrel. 4. S&W Model 19 with a 4" barrel. -

All of these sound good, but I gave up alcohol almost 26 years ago. I got to liking it too much and was to the point of needing it. I went cold turkey and now I don't drink at all....but I have a well stocked cabinet that I keep for friends and family.
