Canadian Tire is a LARGE country wide store that does most types of vehicle repairs and service,  sells everything from tires and tube to oils and greases, all types of tools, food stuff, paint and paining supplies lighting products, clothing, garden supplies, toys, kitchen cooking equipment, utensils, electrical and plumbing supplies, snowblowers, shovels.

Just about everything you can think of, tailored to the area they are serving.

In US American, I think what we call a kettle, you call a teapot.

What we call a teapot is a non electric pot with a lid and spout in which we put tea then pour hot water into, over the tea.

My daughter got me a heating pot.  It will bring four cups of water to a boil in about 90 seconds.

Great for tea, consomme, instant soups, some instant lunches, etc. I haven't tried it with milk yet (for Ovaltine) but I can heat that on a pan or nuke it.

For coffee I use an electric percolator or Mr. Coffee.

Sorry Pard, but I'm not going to "sign in" for any damn thing on line except places (like SASS or NRA) that already have my number and places I trust.

I'm not a "BOT" and I damn well don't need anything for those sites.

Left the house just after 7:00 this morning. Had a makeup appointment with the foot doctor and then stopped for a nice sit down breakfast with Schoolmarm.  Called in and had some prescriptions made ready for me at the pharmacy, and by the time breakfast was finished they called to tell me they were ready.

We picked ‘em up and the next stop was the liquor store for Schoolmarm some wine.

Next stop was the Post Office!  I had to mail a letter, grab some packing tape, seal up a box of stuff for Forty Rod, and another for a new shooter that needed a shotgun shell belt and then get those mailed off too.

Then to the bank for some cash to pay for some laser ingraving on my new ‘92 stocks, and then out to the studio to pick them up!

Add in a stop for gas and you have eight stops and over a hundred miles.

We got home just after noon!! I took a short nap and then put the carbine back together. Now it’s almost time for supper and some of that banana pudding I made earlier this week!!

Doc says I SHOULD be walking full time in a couple of weeks. For now, she says to take it slow and easy.

I got a lot done! Don’t reckon I can GRUMP too much today!  🙄IMG_0709.thumb.jpeg.e0040f758294868c26e76c14a742c0d9.jpeg

    That's a nce looking iron.

I'll give you a hundred bucks for it.

We are rapidly approaching that day and I'm trying to prepare for it.....but I know from past experience that it will still be one of the saddest things I will ever experience.

When the time comes I'll do what I need to do because my little friend deserves to go out with dignity and peacefully.

Of all of God's creations large and small, dogs are right at the top of the list of the best.

I had no way of knowing if it was taking or not.  Maybe I need to clean the chimney and trim the wick..  These old kerosene powered computers aren't all that reliable any more......and I have a dyslexic keyboard.

He absolutely loved dogs and everyone he met. His smile was the most contagious smile ever and would light up any room. Unfortunately he passed away Sept. 21st 2022. He was 3 years old

I'm so sorry.  The loss of a child is the worst sadness I know.
