An update to the opening question. The shooter has been contacted and will not shoot the sxs Baikal 12ga. Another person will receive it and check it over. May be a good cleaning be begin with. If anything else is noted and I am informed of it, I will try to pass it on here.

Shooter came to me on Saturday, during match, held two Shotgun shells out and asked if I had seen something like this before. Could not remember, but asked if I could take one and ask around about it. Brand new factory grey shotshells. He shoots a sxs, not sure of make or model. Last two rounds on the stage and targets went down. Do nto know if he had to extract them of they just fell out. I'm Just asking if anyone has seen this before. If so, thoughts, possibilities, Is it still possible that Oklahoma can slip by LSU this coming weekend? Intrigue is everywhere, if you look!

Thanks Boggus Deal. I will search for some 2nd Gen grips in my dusty boxes. I saw that brown colored ones....Hmmmm...kinda lame? Could be I am Vain. I seem to remember Black ones for the I bought from Long Hunters, back in the old early to mid 2000's. Saw some black ones that they wanted 60 per grip. Not wanting to spend that much. And the search continues.

Lack of original grips and looking for possible replacements. Will original Colt SAA's (1st, 2nd or 3rd/.....4th?) work on em? I have seen some outfits that make after market grips for them, like azcustomgrips, has anyone got experience from a purchased after market grips? Thanks for any thoughts and or directions.

Houston Hat Store I have had all kinds of work done by this outfit. Puttin on a new leather sweatband can be a longer process.

I think you are looking for the 510- series on the serial number, for the Ruger New Model Vaquero in 357Mag with the color case hardening frame. At least the ones that I have had and still have, are in that range. They are kinda hard to find, but crop up once in a while, usually in a gun auction site or gunbroker/gunsamerica websites. I just sold a pair recently, so they can be found. Price ranges from 5-600 per gun. Unless there is some modifications/action job done to them. Good luck on your quest.

Looks to be a great 2 days of shooting. Shoot stages that reflect the National Championships at Winter Range. ok........maybe the targets are tad closer....
