  1. These folks are NOT using semi auto pistols and 10/22 rifles. How EXACTLY is someone using a 22 caliber firearm that, for all intents and purposes, looks the same as the guns you're using harming YOUR experience? The recoil? The sound? The brass? And if it is so harmful; and since 22 has been legal in our game for decades - have you previously been refusing to shoot on posses with Buckaroos and Juniors? Black powder folks talk down about smokeless. Warthogs talk down about mousefarts. 45 talk down about 38's and then dash cali

  2. At the 2019 Western Divisional I was awarded a JEDI Gunfighter buckle. Nasty Nels was the presenter and when he gave it to me I told him that sometime in the future I would build a gun cart to display it on and this is what I came up with. Widder helped me get another buckle out of Korrupt Karl because I like displaying the original on my gun belt. Double Diamond (Darrell Brinkmeier) designed and built all of the leather work and spent days working on the leather Josey Wales medallion on the front of the chest and did an absolutely amazing job. The cart is built out of African Blac

  3. I read a lot of posts on the wire - even some that I really don't have a lot of interest in specifically; but I enjoy seeing folks interactions. One thing I often see is, shooters telling others that their choice of equipment is not nearly as important as some others claim. An example: X model gun is just as good as Y model gun for most shooters in our game because "somebody" shot the X model gun really fast in a youtube video and "somebody else" won a world championship with it 25 years ago. And if "those somebodies" can do that with the X gun faster

  4. I weary of these mask discussions. I wear one anywhere I might come in contact with people. If that labels me paranoid, panic stricken and cowardly, I don’t care. I don’t get in arguments over it. I don’t brow beat others who are maskless. I keep my opinions to myself. Too much finger pointing and hate going around. I’ve also been called fearful and paranoid because I carry a firearm.

  5. Well, good news. I was hired this morning as a Manufacturing Engineer by Anvil Manufacturing in Ozark, Alabama. It's only a 30 minute drive, salary is reasonable, and most of all they have good medical insurance. So Monday morning, no more wandering aimlessly around the property or perusing the internet for jobs. BACK TO WORK!

  6. Howdy All, Let me shed some light on the decisions made. With the current status of restrictions in New Mexico, it was not practical to invest in non-refundable deposits and contracts to start planning EOT this year at FR since it was almost imposable that the state would allow it to take place. Misty decided to host EOT at Paradise Pass in Indiana because; Our restrictions appear to be much lighter Our Governor is very pro business and is working hard to balance this with the virus restrictions We are a privately owned property so there is no "board"

  8. Sorry, but I need to vent!!!! I experienced the WORST customer service today. I don't want to mention the name of the shop because I'm not sure how I'm going to proceed. Last night I bought something from this shop. I paid cash for it. I took it home and found out it didn't work. So today, less than 24 hours later I took it back to the shop and asked if I could get a refund. The girl in the store told me “NO” even though I still had the receipt. I asked if I could get a replacement instead then. Again this person told me "NO." I asked to talk to a manager now as I'm really not happy and I e

It came today. Here it is. I about fell over. I was nominated by an old squad partner. In better than a quarter of a century of putting my life under the lights and siren, this is one of the only times anyone ever said thank you!

  10. To the Moderators: If this ain't allowed feel free to delete without prejudice. Some observant and concerned cowboys noticed that my website has mostly unavailable products and that I am selling bullet molds in the Wire Classifieds. Let's stomp out a few rumors and misconceptions. This will be a huge relief to most folks that know me. I AIN'T DYIN'! (yet) More important OUTLAW BULLETS IS STILL AROUND. I am replacing old molds with newer ones to make an even better product. With the pandemic a ragin' all around us

The proceedure was to take two days at the most if everything went well. Be home by thursday. Well, they hit a snag and she was not able to come home yesterday nor today. I just spoke to her on the phone, and she is sounding much better than she did yesterday. I just wish to express my gratitude to all you good folks out there in cowboy land. God bless you all.

Henry’s parents learned a few days ago that there will be a new member of the family in November after the dog and family train together for 2 weeks in Xenia, Ohio, beginning next week. Here is a picture of the Golden Retriever that has been specifically trained for Henry over the past two years. Comments from his trainers are heartwarming. Several dogs are trained simultaneously for each client, in case some don't work out. The final candidate is chosen j

  14. Where to begin? I was born in Pittsburgh, my Dad was Korean War veteran and Westinghouse technician, Mom was a nurse. I've worked since I was 11 years old delivering the Pittsburgh Press. In my teens I worked at McDonalds and, put roof's on with my dad. We went to church every Sunday. We were not rich, but we were not poor. I was lucky to get C's in high school, I stared out the window waiting for the bell to ring. Looking back I wish I had paid more attention. In my senior year I joined the Army Reserve as an E-1. I went to basic training 6 days after I graduated high school, I turned 18 at F

Some of these clubs’ locations and websites as listed were almost impossible to confirm and/or update. 17. Stolen from castboolits forum: The Old GentlemanYears ago I got a M94 30-30 for my 14th birthday. A year later my grandmother gave me $20 for my 15th birthday. The next day found me in Fosters Sporting Goods in Dallas, Oregon trying to figure out how many 30-30s in combination with 22 LR HPs I could get. There was an old gentleman observing my one person conversation and he decided to butt in. He convinced me to get a Lee Loader, an 8 oz can of Unique, 500 CCI 200 primers, a small plastic head mallet and a tapered punch. I even had enough money left over for a couple boxes of 22s.O

It arrived about noon. Has the tangle free pole. Got the bracket up, grabbed the flag mounted on the pole, grabbed my phone, played Morning Colors as I put it in the socket.

Wish I went life 21 years ago but with four mouths to feed, mortgage, car and general life I didn't have the money. 21 years ago I'm thinking membership was $25 or $30. Assuming no rate increases in the the next 12.3 years I'll break even when I'm 79 years old. Merry Christmas to the Staff at SASS headquarters! So in the next years you se

  23. A pretty little sonnet. An abundance of frilly language deigned to drip honey upon the ears whilst evading the sting of insult upon any party. But... We're cowboys - we speak plainly. We extend a hand when needed but we don't ask for handouts. We believe in being strong and self reliant. We believe in fair play and if a man betters you - you shake his hand and move on. We don't adorn with poison or back shoot. The shopkeeper has just as much right to a good or service as any one else. If he (or she) enters into a mutually agre

After the beep, let me own the stage, don't be in my peripheral vision, and don't say anything unless there's a real safety issue. I will own my P's just fine.

  29. But it is well stated. From a Marine Corps Colonel in Afghanistan: "So with all the kindness I can muster, I give this one piece of advice to the next pop star who is asked to sing the national anthem at a sporting event: save the vocal gymnastics and the physical gyrations for your concerts. Just sing this song the way you were taught to sing it in kindergarten - straight up, no styling. Sing it with the constant awareness that there are soldiers, sailors, airmen and marines watching you from bases and outposts all over the world. Don't make them cringe with you

Couldn't get a decent shot through the wintry window so I snuck out the back door as quite as I could and as the doe moved off he actually came closer to pose. Thanks, Buck.
