Just finished watching "The Highwaymen" starring Costner and Harrelson on Netflix. Well worth watching in my opinion. As always, YMMV when it comes to opinions on entertainment.3 points

You know it! In my autumn years we finally have enough $ to enjoy the finer things in life: A Yul Lose gun cart; Earthwalker boots; Guns engraved by Aspen Filley; a hat from Colorado Mountain hat co; fancy gun leather from Osage Mike; and a small house in the country where we can retire(hopefully). Life is GOOD!3 points

I have also worked with foreigners. But none who have tried to learn Australian. The Aussies took the English language where no man has gone before.3 points

I ain't crazy about cats. We prefer dogs. BUT, it shows good character when someone shows kindness and love to our furry little friends God has blessed us with. Congratulations to you..... and to Zoe. ..........Widder3 points

Not too long ago, our "Little Old Man" passed away after 16 years with us. We came to realize we missed the cuddles and knew there was a little one out there who needed a home so we adopted another cat and brought her home tonight. I would like to present to you Zoe. She's a little shy but I think she'll come around soon.2 points

I understand that one of those 'skeeters' landed at Elmendorf AFB, and they filled it full of JP-5 before they realized it wasn't an F-15!2 points

Our Posse Marshal and Match Directors have always stressed, (OK hounded) spotters to stay on their toes and watch not only the steel, but the berm behind the steel for impacts. Some people thought this was going overboard, but from the above, it's apparent this is not the case. Thanks for being cautious Pard.2 points

My wife complains sometimes about all of the dusting she has to do on the furniture that I’ve built around the house and I guarantee she’d have a LOT to say about dusting something like this.2 points

I think that there are several things going on all at the same time. First is that it has been fashionable, especially in western period pieces, for the actors to talk in Mumble. I guess it is supposed to give it a more 'authentic' feel. Or something. Second is that sound effects and music have become more important than dialog. Third is that as we get older our hearing gets worse.2 points

Well, one good thing about her is that she certainly takes the pressure off of blondes adding a new darker category to poke in jest. Only in her case, the pokes are justifiable and demonstrably proven with empirical evidence as witnessed by her numerous bizarre statements and proposals. I think even the most classic Communists would say that there are some idiots that are not useful. She lend weight to that argument. STL Suomi2 points

It stays a crime scene until all the evidence from the crime scene is collected. The crime doesn't have to be solved to release a crime scene.2 points

Almost all commercially available pine nuts in the US are imported. There is a condition known as Pine Mouth that has been linked to nuts imported from China, "The cause of pine mouth has not been determined, but several researchers have indicated that a particular species and source of pine nut, Pinus armandii exported from the Shaanxi and Shanxi regions of China, may be responsible for causing the symptoms. This species of pine nut was previously only consumed locally and not widely exported for consumption as whole nuts." Not everyone has "about 30 acres of" nuts available. By the way, I didn't know you lived in Sacramento.2 points

In the nearly 30 years we've been together, all of our animals, both cats and dogs have been adopted. All of them very special and unique. We wouldn't have it any other way.2 points

Good news! We had an excellent shoot today with over 60 Cowboys, Cowgirls, and Law Enforcement types squaring off for the shoot. The Cowboys shot steel and the cops shot paper targets situated right above the Cowboy Steel targets so that everyone shot the same scenarios. After 5 stages the top 4 Cowboys and the Top 4 cops held a 2 stage shootoff with the team with the lowest total time as the winner. The Cowboys team of Preacher Kid, Alamo Andy, Slowaz Molasses, and Reverend Trinity shot some smoking stages and took the trophy this time. Thanks to all who came out and especially to our law enforcement personnel (we had 11 LEO shooters) who joined us in a day of fun. We had some tasty fried fish, tater tots, french fries and hush puppies from the Hill Country 100 Club, and we raised some good money for them. Put this on your calendar for next year.2 points

So now that she's had a taste of the "good life," I wonder how she'll adapt when she has to go back to bar tending for a living... I can just picture her at "Cheers..." Norm and Cliff staring at her, slack-jawed...2 points

Enough with the horseplay, quit foaling around! It's time to put this thread to pasture, we've herd enough and strayed from the mane topic over two, neigh, three pages. We've discussed all this with unbridled enthusiasm, but I canter-magin there's more to say. I'm getting horse, so it's time to head for the barn and hit the hay.2 points

I disagree with this. The rules are what they are, in black and white and not subject to anyone's opinion of what they mean. The rule in it's entirety says No Buscadero or drop holster rigs allowed (i.e., part of the grip must be above the belt on which the holster hangs). Nothing is mentioned about exposed trigger guard and open front. The rules are there to ensure that each contestant is held to the same standard, regardless of where they shoot or the opinion of the Match Director. Now surely all rules are not this way, having some leeway. But this one seems very clear, at least to me.2 points
