  1. It may be small comfort but 4 major robo-calling companies have been ordered to cease and have millions of dollars in fines. https://www.cordcuttersnews.com/ftc-shuts-down-4-robocall-groups-responsible-for-billions-of-illegal-robocalls/amp/

  2. Book. Woman has anger and self-control issues. Seeing a therapist, who tells her to wait and count to ten before exploding. Next session. "How did you do?" She tells how a co-worker put something in the wrong place, again. "I wanted to yell and call her a stupid ________ __________ ____ , but I remembered what you said, and I counted to ten, and then asked her, 'Did your mother bathe in lead-based paint when she was pregnant with you?' 3. Last Saturday a good friend of mine came out to our monthly match to give our game a try. He recently bought a pair of pistols from a mutual friend that has quit shooting, and let me know he wanted to give it a try. Deuce loaned him long guns and leather, and I provided him with ammo. He had never fired any of our types of guns, yet he got it figured out pretty quick. It won’t be long and he’ll be pushing us. He’s ordered long guns from Deuce, ordered a cart from me, and will be working with Doc Noper for leather. Once he figures out an alias and finds a hat he’ll be good to go. 4. I do not shoot it. But it is a category I have always admired and been interested in. Personally I'd be more apt to shoot it if there were a minimum power factor involved but thats just my opinion and not a reflection on the current rules.

  5. As Many of you know I have been a CPL Instructor for many years . A Concealed Pistol is too your advantage , Because the bad guy dont know who has a gun and who dont . The element of surprise is on your side ! ( If Ever Needed ) On the other side of the coin . If I was a bad guy doing wrong . The Open carry guy would be the first guy taken out of the equation ! As for as calling the police on someone for open carry go"s . This Friend is one of the problems with today's society . Just sayin . Rooster

  6. That guy reminds me of Hanoi Jane and her congressman former husband , Tom Hayden, in California years ago. They were burglarized and they reported several guns were stolen. The detective taking the report wondered aloud at their owning guns but publicly opposing gun ownership. Their reply was, “Oh! That’s for regular people!” I’ve found that most liberals are only liberal when it comes to everyone else! For their own part it’s, “I! I! Me! Me! Mine!”

  8. I choose not to open carry. If I need it I want it to be a total surprise when it comes out. On a motorcycle sometimes it gets exposed but I notice a LOT less tailgating! If someone open carries that's their choice. I just hate the guys that do it to look like a bigshot. See that too often. Camo pants, combat boots, never served. You've probably seen the type.

  11. Shoot age based for 9 years, this is my first year of CC. Had all the guns, most of them with back-ups. Wife said why don't you use them other guns, along with some great CC pards that would not give up pestering till I tried it. Have shoot a few matches, now I think the hook is in pretty deep. Thanks Dan, Major, Hud, ST,and Travis. The fun has started

  13. There is a concern if your loading and unloading tables are also in the berm and the muzzles are pointed directly at the concrete. If there is an accidental discharge there is a chance of ricochet and or concrete bits coming back at the people at the table. If the loading and unloading tables are directly facing the concrete you have to put some sort of wood with a gap between it and the concrete to capture the bullet and shrapnel. That and IF your perhaps a little hung over, those shotgun rounds are mighty loud first thing in the morning.

  15. They tend to focus the sound, so as long as you don't have close neighbors (Not Texas close i.e 15 miles away, but like under a mile) you shouldn't have issues although folks may want to upgrade their hearing protection. In addition to extending the lifespan of the walls, a wood covering helps to deaden the sound AND reduces bounce back of shotgun and bullet splatter. Great shooting with you and Ellie at Dark Day in Florida!

  16. I never said "gunfighter or nothing". Nor do I believe it is 'Classic Cowboy or nothing". SASS has so many categories that I simply combined everything together; age, powder, shooting style, and costuming into something I feel I would really enjoy. B-Western can shoot gunfighter, now can't they? I've played this game close to 30 years now. I've shot traditional with old style Vaqueros in Colt 45, open top 38's, and about everything in between. I've used Lightening's, '73's, '66's, Marlins. I've had dropped loop and belt high holsters. Hammered doubles, closed doubles, '87's, '97's. And a 34" barreled 10g double (trying to find an 8ga double I can afford). Tricked out guns and out of the box guns. I've won my category and EoT and failed miserably. I've won and lost plenty of times in plenty of categories all across the USA from California to Georgia to Wyoming. I've been a cowboy since I was 4 years old. I have the photo to prove it. This is what I love and I want everybody to enjoy it as much as they can as well. I hope everybody gets the opportunity to shoot however they want to; just to enjoy shooting at stuff, playing cowboy, and hugging all those pretty cowgirls. I married one of them. My wife, Shotglass, was the first Classic Cowgirl of the Year. I believe in SASS and I believe in preserving the culture and traditions of the American Old West.

  20. Kudos to Jason Widmer and Boom Stick Arms. He just finished two pairs of K-Bisley Vaquero .44's for us. They operate super smoothly.. They all feel just the same, sight the same and shoot the same. He (they) also did a "light bead blast" (light color anyhow) with a fine media. And they are beautiful. Thank you, Morgan. They even lighteded up the darker pair that had been heavily blasted a couple seasons ago. We recommend them! US VETERAN OWNED TOO!! MUSTANG GREGG & CALAMITY JOANNE

  22. I was looking out my back window toward my pond and saw a large bird circling and at first thought it was a vulture due to its size verses the hawks around here. Then it swooped lower and I saw a flash of white on the head as it soared. I got real excited. I had thought I had seen one before near my pond and someone in town had told me there was indeed a bald eagle in the area and the Georgia Wildlife Dept confirmed there is over 100 nest in the area of the 5 coastal counties in south Georgia . As the eagle soared suddenly it dove into my pond and stayed just a second then came back up again. I saw a second one in the distance circling the trees. He must have missed the fish as he came back up and circled. Then he swept fast by the house near my two chickens that I let roam the yard since they stopped laying. I keep the laying birds penned, these peck at eggs so they have to stay elsewhere. Such a large and beautiful bird. I yelled for my daughter who we are home schooling until we get her problems figured out and yelled for my wife to look. They continued to circle around the area and areas nearby. Super excited.

  29. Drill out the primer pocket slightly smaller than the diameter of the pocket so that it has a lip at the bottom. Go to the Auto Parts or Ranch & Home store and get a o-ring that is the same diameter as the primer pocket. Make sure the o-ring is Burna-70 or harder. Don't get a silicone o-ring they are too soft. you want one that is made of hard rubber. Cut the O-ring and stuff one end into the primer pocket until it is protruding past the lip and sticking into the case. Cut flush with a razor blade. You will never wear it out.

  30. Missouri has allowed open and concealed carry without permit since 2017: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gun_laws_in_Missouri#Summary_table To the original question, open carry draws attention. I prefer to be anonymous in public. Those who carry openly draw attention away from me, bless ‘em.

  34. I've been shooting Classic a couple of years now. Started out in age based with 38's. For no particular reason, I migrated to 45's and shot those in age based. I always qualified for Classic with my costuming. Several years ago at a major match, I shot the match clean with a 23.70 average stage time shooting an age based category.. All that got me was 6th place. A couple of buddies (Sixgun Scotsman and Bad Brass) were after me to shoot Classic since I shot the right guns and already dressed the part. I figured.....what the heck.....I can get beat in any category so I might as well have fun doing it. My times slowed way down and I'm still trying to connect my left hand to my brain. My wife Cayenne Kay had switched to Classic the year before so it was just the right thing to do. I won't be winning the Cadillac any time soon but I'll look purty and have some fun doin' it.
