  2. Sorry to hear that! Without knowing your cancer or treatments, just want to suggest to you to look into Keytruda immunotherapy as it assisted me after 10 chemo treatments to beat Stage 4 metastatic colon cancer and possibly it could help your battle as well. Good luck and God Bless!

  5. I used to do that, a great deal, and if from Costco, they even have online cutting instructions. For the last several years, I have bought a beef from a rancher friend. It goes to a local packing house and I split it with my two adult kids. The last one averaged out around $4 per pound. We are already on a list for a pig to try that. Anyone living in the right kind of area, might consider asking around.
  6. That's the one. Best I have seen. For me it hits the two MAIN things. The shooting. But also, the friendships and fun.
  7. Our local Safeway market had it's Easter sale when it sells big hams and prime rib for really cheap prices. I bought a large prime rib and cut it into really nice rib eye steals. The prime rib was on sale for 5.98/pound. It weighed 9.8# and I got 10 nice steaks out of it. Rib Eyes for 5.98 a pound, what a buy! I also cut off the ribs and put them in my smoker and then grill them. We do it every year when they have a sale at Easter and Christmas.
  8. A couple of years back I bought a pair of revolvers and a rifle from a pard in South Carolina. I live in Oregon. He sent the pkg. registered next day to me via USPS. He received the pkg. the next day and refused it because it was to be sent to me, not him! Oops, their mistake so back to the facility it went and 8 days later it arrived in the next town to me where it was noted that the pkg. was refused and was sent back to South Carolina! Remember that it was originally sent to the wrong address first. 11 days later it was finally received by my FFL. 3 trips across country and 3.5 weeks later I finally got the revolvers. He sent the rifle to me the same day and I received it within 5 days. Go figure!!!
  9. I use boat-tail bullets almost exclusively for the cartridges I reload with a bottle-neck case. These are the go-to for .243 Win. These are also a favorite.
  10. This is a great match I've been to all of them, unfortunately I not able to make it this year. They have one of the best ranges in SASS! I'm already looking forward to next year!

  12. PFFFT! That's nothing! I tracked a parcel from a friend in N. Carolina, to Seattle, to Vancouver, WA. then to Vancouver, BC, to Montreal, Quebec, then Heathrow, in the UK, back to Montreal, Quebec, on to Winnipeg, Manitoba, back to Montreal, then here to Ottawa, Ontario. Now it was during Covid, so who knows why.
  13. Remember when they first came out with priority Mail? Early 90s. $2 for 2 lb or less, in 2 days. $2 was a lot of money, when regular postage was 35¢. So I did that one time, because it needed to absolutely positively be there in 2 days. Took 2 weeks.
  14. I bought some holsters from a guy in Washington State. A week or so after I sent the check he pm'd me and asked if I still wanted the holsters because he was still waiting on money. I told him that the pony may have gotten bogged down in the snow crossing the Rockies, because it was December, and to just wait some more, because the check had been sent. It was two and a half weeks after I sent the check before he pm'd me again and said the check had arrived and the holsters had gone out. It took two days for the holsters to get from Washington to Florida, but 18 days for the money to get from Florida to Washington. May have had something to do with Christmas shipping, since this was happening in December.
  15. Ages ago I had a USPS package coming parcel post. Tracking said it was in Northboro, MA and stayed there for several days. I asked the post mistress why. She said they put it on a pallet, when the pallet was full or two weeks, whichever came first, it would arrive.

Howdy Rev. Yes, the old Rossi Hammered double is a very good gun. I've had one for 30 yrs. I don't use it for CAS any longer since switching to a BSS many years ago. As for loading my own shotgun shells my dad got me started doing that in 1963 and I've been doing it ever since. The gun will be for my wife's use. She now shoots a Browning BSS that had been cut down on both ends for a young shooter. We thought it would work out, and though It is an excellent gun it has not proved to be the best choice for her. I want to get her a gun that I can start fresh with and custom fit/tune for her. She claims to be 5' 3", but I think that she is stretching the truth a bit! She is a youthful 75 yrs (claims only 39) so I guess she can have what ever she wants. Thanks for your input. Snakebite
  17. I tried the Scorpion Tabasco a year or so ago when it first came out and didn’t find it much different than their regular Tabasco sauce. The sauces that I really prefer are the Mexico Lindo brand and my favorite of those is the Black Hot Sauce, very mild heat but lots of flavor. The green sauce is similar to green Tabasco or Cholula with a tad more heat but lots of flavor. The seafood hot sauce is a bit warmer and I like it on grilled fish, fish tacos, etc.. A friend of ours in Sedona came out with a line of hot sauce that I like too, Sedona Hot Sauce.
  18. One time my wife left her cell phone in a rental car in Seattle. I contacted the company and they had it shipped to us. Because the phone was fully charged and we had its locator connected to my phone, we were able to physically see where it was every step of the way. The route to my house was crazy, but I assume UPS and FedEx know what they are doing.
  19. I bought a shotgun from a pard here on the Wire. Itwas sent from the neighboring state, approximately 800 miles away.Aftr 4 weeks I contacted him, he said he had mailed it 3 days after he received funds. 2 more weeks passed, and I talked to my local postmaster, and he told me that it had to be missing 30 days from my complaint before an investigation would be started. I finally convinced him to start tracking it for me. He traced it to a regional UPS hub where it had been sitting ,at that time, for six weeks. His explanation was that it was sent by commercial rate, and packages sent by that rate were put in a bin at the hub, and they wouldn't ship the bin until until it was full. I finally received the shotgun on the 29th day of the waiting period. All in all, it looks over 8 weeks to get to me. Choctaw
