  2. Aren’t you familiar with the phrase “two is one and one is none?” When it comes to coffee, redundancy is vital.
  3. Hammers are subjective to the individual shooter. I have a short stroked pair with SBH hammers, a regular pair with standard hammers, and a regular pair with the tall hammer all new model vaquero. On the clock the non short stroked tall hammers are the fastest for me. If I put the short wide hammers on regular stroke gun the crowd my thumb too much.
  4. Now we KNOW!! Have ya been wondering what happens to yer scrap BRASS?? Now ya Know
  5. Very nice and a great present! Oh, Happy Birthday...a little late but you know what they say...
  6. I've reseated a spent primer multiple times over the years on a Dillon 550B. It punches the spent primer out, hangs onto it on the pin, reseats the spent primer and continues on with the reloading process. It is noticeable during the inspection...but you do have to inspect them.
  7. If it's not unfired it is fired. But a round that didn't go off may still fire on the 2nd or the 3rd or the 10th hit, or worst case spontaniously after a couple of seconds if it's a hang fire. I witnessed a hang fire some weeks ago on a 9mm at an IPSC match: first a click and when the competitor wanted to rack the slide the gun went bang. A round might be 'attempted' or 'engaged' or whatever. But as long the powder is unburnt it is unfired and hazardous.
  8. I had absolutely no idea. I have never seen "do." as an abbreviation before now. Must be the Catholic school education or something. As I mentioned above, it's something I learned about 4th grade and so assume most people know it.
  9. If these were in a rifle, I could agree, but these were in a pistol...high primers would have almost surely locked the pistol up unless you advanced the cylinder by hand. I've heard these complaints quite a few times since the plague affected manufacturing. I have not heard the FTF issues with semi-autos, only with revolvers with lightened springs. My guess, quality control issues coupled with harder cup materials.
  10. Lead him 2-3 miles from the bldgs and put him down. Becomes part of the food chain for the coyotes and magpies.
  11. If I did not reload in the 6th chamber and took the miss for the round that did not go off, I would definitely call the malfunction, but my question had to do with if I did load a 6th round and the round that did not go off (not the same as unfired, in my opinion) is still in the cylinder. Boy, that oughta set it off!
  12. Oh, it works. It just needs to rain a little more. Angus
  13. The weather is looking great and we will have our Work Shirkers Match this Thursday. We will be shooting stages 6-10. We will have the Average Joe shotshell resizers for sell at the range if you're interested, $190.00, you can see what they look like on the SASS Wire Merchants page. Hope to see you Thursday! Randy
  14. Spring weather in southern Rockies is warming up nicely, as well as the gun giveaway list for GT 2024. We’ve added a Plinkerton revolver and Rossi .22 lever gun to go along with the Vezir Carrara 12 gauge. There are additional firearms in the stretch raffle at this time which include a Taylor’s 1911, a set of Colt derringers to compliment the list and the previously mentioned Heritage RR .22 pistols. Early entry discounts still available for a few more days. All state/Federal transfers will be available to eligible winners. Hope to see you attending
  15. I had absolutely no idea. I have never seen "do." as an abbreviation before now. My guess would have been "doses", but I had no idea how much a dose would be. Oh, and thanks to Palewolf for the answer. Although, I must admit that, at first, I wasn't sure if he was giving me the answer to my question, or repeating my question. aka: "Yeah, what he said." Angus
  16. Nice work!! You’re not worthy!! Happy belated birthday!
